Can't figure how you get them there critters to stay still while you get the right distance (close even if you are using 100mm macro), the camera focuses and you open the shutter. They don't appear to be staged (caught, cooled and placed). Those shots are pure amazing. I'm sure we would all be thankful if you imparted just a little gem of insight to us.
Old Guy...I use a 50 mm macro lens and bugs seem to like me...none of my shots are staged. Maybe its my flowers and garden that attract these critters. I generally shoot with fstop between 2 and 4.5, shutter on auto and use flash with diffuser. Shutter speed will automatically be pretty fast!
Thanks Kitzi, for both comments. Bugs like me too, at least my blood! Nice work! I kind of have to go with Chrissy's newly coined expression, ha- unstinkenbelievable! That's rich!
Awesome macros! Great detail in that first one. Scary looking, glad he's not that big in real life. I have been told to take insect shots early in the morning, when its cooler, they don't move as fast. Although its in the 70's in the mornings, lately around here. :o)
Wow!
Great Macros!
I like "neither beauty or best" best.
