We couldn't have had better weather for our Moment in Time: History of Battle. Here are a few of my favorite images...I have many more... BOOM! That was so loud! I couldn't cover my ears and shoot! Curiosity can be dangerous...or wonderful it depends on your heart...  We welcome all, you should see some of the re-enacters when they come into our 20' tipi with wide eyes... They sell everything... A picture was all I needed...

Let me preface the next shots by telling you they were re-enacting the battle of Iwo Jima. They do use blanks, but they still fire a paper cartridge and they can hurt or kill you...So I would have helped the angry guy beat up the other guy if it came to that.  At the time, using my 300mm it was a great photo...A gun went shot went right by his head...he was angry...  But after he chased the guy with a machete...he was spent...

Comments welcome!

Blessings!

Those re-enactments can look pretty darn real. Love the capture in that first shot, smoke at both ends, and it takes you back in time. All nice shots and the B/W is a good choice for 'history'.

  • Boom is the most realistic of these--it is great that there are people who continue to put on these re-inactments--for all to see and have a little history of happened..
