Wildlife Refuge (Las Vegas, NM) (PART 1)

Last weekend my photo buddy and I met at Las Vegas, NM, and visited the Wildlife Refuge.

There weren't many birds around that day, but the scenery was spectacular:

We did see a couple of hawks - this one must have had a nest nearby and she was irritated by our presence:

    Nice set . . . mesa lake is very picturesque, reminds me of living in Colorado around the mesas.  That last hawk is a spectacular capture - nice in every way!

    Sure is a big difference between Las Vegas New Nexico and Las Vegas Nevada  Fountain_3_Final

    The focus in the last hawk shot is great the others are quite blurry.  I like you wildflower shots but in some of your shots the clouds in the sky are very blown out.  Try metering and that could help.
