Day at the Milwaukee County Zoo

By photo_dave written 7/3/08 10:23 PM, published 7/3/08 10:24 PM

In April, my sister brought 4 of her kids up for a visit.  We gathered all into the car and went to the zoo.  After visiting some birds (Strange looking bird , An pretty bird ), the kids wanted to take a little rest Kids at the zoo .

Here Grace (my niece) took a rare moment to "love" my son, Lucas Cousins , and pose while I tested out a new lens Grace - up close.

We saw a couple Monkey on a log and An Elephant , and overall had a good time.

OK, so this has to be the lamest story in the history of lame stories, but since it has been a while since I have been on PHOTOgraphica, I just thought I would test out the waters here before posting more.

Comments appreciated, good or bad.

Glad to see you back.  I know you've been thru a lot since your last post.  Looks like you and Lucas are doing well.  Like the one of all the kids on different rocks.  Your "strange" bird is a kukaburra from Australia.  Don't recognize the other one.  Over all the pictures look well composed but a couple are overexposed and the monkeys have a greenish cast.  Difficult to do well in the bright sun when it looks like these were taken.  If you don't have time to come back later in the day, you can adjust your camera or use some post processing to help with the light problem.

Again, welcome back.  Most of us are still here or have come back.  You're still part of the "family".

You done did a good job on the story. So, a few could be adjusted.. you were just testing the waters. You will find that the comments are sometimes a little slow and there is no more voting, but it seems that most like it better than what was. Good to see you shots, keep on keepin on.

    - So shoot already!!
