I certainly agree with 'Alter Ego' and the fantastic 'Land of the Free'. But 'Stripes of Distinction' is very, very good also. At least in my old eyes. All are nicely done.
Candice - you always seem to have a fresh way to see things . . . never an ordinary photo with you. I like all of these, especially stripes and land of the free. Ironic, that our symbol of freedom himself is not free though . . . but that's another discussion.
"Land of the Free" is a marvelous image, not in small part due to the way you have placed him in the composition. "Alter Ego" is great--what a cutie Benjamin still is--I remember the zoo with the grandchildren as a wonderful way to spend the day.
The reflection in Ego is good..slow and steady is neat a shot..Eagles are awesome, tis a shame there are a lot in captivity (but this is the only way some people would ever see one)
Alter Ego is such a thoughtful portrait, and I really like the detail of the flamingo wing. Just that little part of the bird is so beautiful. Stripes are great and the eagle is magnificent. I agree that it's a shame these birds have to be captive, but many have been injured and can't be turned loose. In a perfect world, nothing would be caged.....sigh.
Wonderful set, Candice..
I love "alter ego" ( he is so cute!), "Here's looking at you" and "Land of the free"...
- Smile ; )
Candice,
They are all very, very good, but "Land of the Free" has stunning light!
- You smell funny!
- Ever vigilant
- the EYES have it
- come over for lunch
Land of the Free and Alter Ego are the best of the lot, but they are all very wonderful shots.
Benjamin is growing up, but is still so cute.
- Flowers are happiness...
- So shoot already!!
- Smile
- learning never ends
- Blessings

- togetherness.....
Wonderful zoo shots, love the first one!
- A quack with an camera
Grand set and Alter Ego is so reflective of our little Tarzan. Stripes is so artful and the Eagle is masterly captured within a rescue of captivity.
