  • All have the warm, natural, soft lighting of the late sun.  Beautiful close ups.  Love the way you finished it.

These are really lovely, Penny.  You took full advantage of beautiful warm light in all of them.  And it's my favorite subject!  I'm really impressed how you got the kittens to hold still.  4 and 5 are just beautiful portraits.  And 9 is a great idea - very creative and a nice finish to the story.  Well done.

  • Fantastic post girly, really!  That wonderful "golden hour" light can't be beat and I'm like Fuzz--I have no idea how you got them to stay still.  What a beautiful bunch of babies.  #2 is amazing--love the composition and the fact that the kittens are natural posers didn't hurt at all.

The funny thing is there is a litter of 5 and not a single one looks like another.  They are all so totally different looking.  Calico, black and white, orange and white, tiger and a gray and white. I didn't have my camera at first when they were playing in the flowers and the trees at my parents.  I was watching them and laughing they were so funny!  My mom on the other hand was not too happy they were wrecking her flowers.

In 2 Mandy the mom is the top calico in the shed.  She is a tiny cat but really friendly.

  • These are wonderful shots Penny. I love the warm lighting of the evening sun. No 2, 7, and 9 are my favorites. No. 2 is really cute, no 7 is a portrait worth bragging about and is my favorite. No 9 proves to me that shadows are objects.

  • I think everyone has said it.  Beautiful light, it really brings out the color of the cat's eye in the close-up shots.
