A Grungy Monday

These were all done by placing a texture layer over the original photo and then using the history brush to pull back in some of the original details. ( PS)

  • These are all three equally good, yet such different subjects.  The ship really looks old, the alpaca is beautiful, and the tone in the fisherman is so rich!   I really like the way you do grunge... makes me want to try it!

  • so far not tried the grunge effect--The Fisherman is #1 choice for me..it doesn't look 'overdone'--the boat looks like from many years ago (similar look I saw in an old book a few weeks ago)

  • I really like the effect on the first and last.  But the comp in the first does it for me.  With the effect it almost looks like a painting or drawing that someone hasn't really taken care of.  And it works.
