i took this picture the other day and was a bit dissappointed. i had my camera zoomed to the max, so everything was a little soft, but, i still liked it.

i'm not too good at photoshopping, but, i thought i'd give it a try. i mean, i couldn't make it worse...i hoped!

so, i played around a bit and ended up with this oil painting effect.

it just so happens that i have a shower curtain with nearly the same picture on it. i'm thinking of printing this picture out and decoupaging it to an old piece of barn wood?

i think it will make a cool accessory for the bathroom wall.

what do you think?

ttfn,

love,

  • As far as compostion goes, I think just a little thighter crop, just so the tree shows on the sides, leave some of the leaves on top.

  • I like the coneptof using photoshop to make a photo with a painterly effect. Decouoaging onto barnwood is a neat idea. Might even be a saleable idea. I'll bet a printout of this on canvas would look great. I also try and save soft focus photos using photoshop i'ts kind of fun.

Yes I agree about the croping. A simple thing to do and square format looks nice too.
