I had taken our grand daughter out early to help her with her photography which she was interested in. We planned the shoot the night before and got up fairly early, had breakfast, and left for a drive around the area near her home. It was two degrees below zero outside and we were dressed for the weather, also had the car heater for warmth. I took this shot of this farm road and trees using a Canon A2 mounted on a tripod. The immage is scanned from the print.
Being from Michigan I can't say I'm ready to start looking at snow, but I liked the composition and color scheme in this shot. Really nice job of using lines to lead the eye, and the rule of thirds. Was it windy? I only ask because the trees look a little blurry to me. Maybe it's from the scan process, or it could be because I had to get a new moniter last week and I haven't purchased a video card in the new moniter's format yet.

This is a BEAUTIFUL shot and am sure the original print is even better. A am always, somewhat, disappointed with my scanned images.

I'm also dissapointed with scanned photos. Pehaps its due to the paper itself. I certainly prefer digital now. this shot was about 10 years ago. what I like about it is the converging lines leading my eye down the road and the distant tree on the right ... sort of a counterpoint. Winter does not bother me at all, I like it after a storm Most of my photography is now digital near our home here in the Ludington area of MI.

It is good comp, and seeing the pictures posted here has been the only way I have seen much snow for the past several years..and this was a very beautiful morning you captured..(doesn't like much travel on road after being cleared)
