A few of my favorite things around the house. headdress One of my favorite statues that I have sitting in my foyer. lil blue house I brought this with me from the U.S ornamental mental From last Christmas arrangement in flowers. antique wedding vase just a few thing i hold dear to me.

That vase is beautiful. I really like the first shot but would like to see one side or the other cropped off or see the whole thing. I suggest trying a bunch of different angles and different lightings on them too. Maybe darken the lighter color in the background. That statue would make a great B&W!! Maybe do a post of different shots of the statue and see what everyone thinks.

You have some nice things to hold dear!
The first photo is my favorite - I like the way you placed the point of the headdress in the corner. I wonder if you converted it to b/w if the light spot at the top would be less noticeable? (That's a beautiful piece btw.)

love the headdress and lil blue house. I agree with Penny& Pat about changing it to b&w. different angles would be nice to see all of it.

I'm with penny all the way. I think you were trying something different with all the crops you used but I think the only successful one was the antique vase (which is very beautiful). I like that you're trying new things, keep it up and you'll find something that works. And I definitely say play with angles and crops on that statue.
