i've been trying to shoot a bumblebee for the longest time.
they don't co-operate well and they aren't always around like my honey bee friends.
they were so interested in these blooms that this time they didn't seem to mind my intrusion. i don't think they even knew i was there.

ps... oops, i almost missed the shot. i forgot my camera when i went outside. i had to go upstairs to retrieve it. i hurried, but, i didn't really think the bee would still be there by the time i could get back. he was so, thanks mr. bee!

Glad you finally managed to catch that elusive bee. I've usually found that when I'm after a specific shot that after I finally get it, all the sudden it happens all the time. So keep your camera handy, there may be more of these buzzing along!

you did great on the flower and the bee,seems they are everywhere here this time of year with the apple trees all around me! my other half even got stung yesterday! if the bees are missing i can't seem to tell where! i guess they are very hungry after all the pollinating they are doing:D
