I finally got around to remembering my cameras. These are some from my 'collection' real old ones; I don't even recall getting them, let alone using them! Moving forward a few years, this was my old set up, back during the film days. This is now my current set up. So we now have a face off, old vs new. The digital age of cameras and mixture of modern film cameras.
All shots were taken with this camera (thumb.)

Interesting story ... Old vs new. I was in the darkroom last night for a while sorting negatives and lost interest. Just too many to sort thru.
Yup, I remember my old cameras very well.

It is sorta sad that film is gradually fading away but progress is progress.
We will never forget film.
I bought a new Mamiya 645 body approx. 4 years ago at $1000 - now I'd be lucky to get $150 out of it. I guess I just didn't realize that digital would take hold so fast.
Loved your story and pics.

This was VERY intetresting! I really enjoyed it. Now come on didn't you ever have one of those little flat like Kodaks with the flash bulbs....??? That is the first camera I remember using.

Nice. I have a couple of old brownies, and another like that foldable "really old camera" of yours - at least I assume it's foldable, I haven't tried to close it in years. ;-)
It's simply amazing how many variations of "Brownie" Kodak made.

Thanks for the story and pics. My film camera was a 110 instantmatic and then I went to digital with a 2mp Kodak and now have a Canon 40d and Nikon D300 and numerous lenses for both.
