Haven't seen you for a while. Nice flowers. I am not sure about the first one that pops up (interesting way to pop) because of the edging. I also think it could use a little fill light.
The second is a marvel. Just sitting on top of it's cactus bottom like that. It is almost too light, but not. I think it is just about right, but I could be wrong. (on all counts, like what do I know anyway.)
I like the first flower (rain dorps), but don't like the framing, maybe trim just to the edge of the jaggedness. TOG called it right on the second, if your monitor is too far off, it'll be burned out. Wonderful capture!
The framing on the first one is certainly different and I sort of like it. I wish I could see more of the cactus on the second picture and I have been thinking that perhaps a little reflected light just on the cactus and not on the flower would add to the scene a lot.
