I got up early, and went out to my favorite lake for an early morning walk; the plans being to capture the sunrise. As the duck's luck would be, I got out fifteen minutes too late; but being foolish, I started walking anyway. Along the way i was able to capture this mediocre shot of a Gold finch, also some Grass . I converted this over to B/W (I don't know a thing about B/W.) So after about two hours of walking and shooting, I get back to the staring point, where I capture this Rig. But after shooting this, a couple came up and we started talking about cameras (they were going to jump onto the digital band wagon.) As I was showing the features of the Oly 520, particularly the live-view, the battery died - just like that. Thus ended the demonstration. Turning back to the bike, the person had loaded a replica Eskimo kayak (it would have made a nice human interest story) and was getting ready to take off. So what I didn't do, was replace the battery and continue shooting. And now your wondering what the kayak looked like.

Grass is a really nice catch!
Batteries suck!
Now the Kayak is only a fiction of my imagination! ;)

Grand grass shot in color. That is one neat hand made bike trailer and I two would love to see the Eskimo Kayak.

I like both the grass shots. The color is beautiful in the first. And I like the gradiation of the background in the b&w shot. Too bad about the batteries.

two hours of walking and shooting? my knees would have given out long before the batteries! good for you.
i like the b&w for some reason. it kinda changes the mood from the color version.
good catch on the goldfinch. i had to look twice to find it there amongst the flowers.

Grass is spectacular! B&W is also very good. Goldfinch is blurry though.
