Borrowed a 100mm Macro for my Canon Xti from a friend, for the weekend, and trying to think of some good reasons not to give it back - - -
Reason 5 - Laid it down in the woods and can't find it -
Reason 4 - Left it in the car in the camera bag and somebody stole it -
Reason 3 - Cats found it and pushed it down the furnace duct - into the furnace -
Reason 2 - I just don't want to be your friend anymore and ain't gonna give your lens back -
and THE NUMBER 1 REASON - Aliens came and abducted us, took us aboard their ship - released us later but kept the lens thinking it was some sort of WMD.

Your reasons to keep the lens sound good to me (surely friend will believe one of them)
Macro 1 looks like there are a couple of 'spots' in top left corner. In #3 can almost feel the 'softness'..#4 is a tease (in a good way), Alien is just too funny.
#5 with the water drop is 'tops' for me--all are well done..

Just move and you don't have to say anything......I guess that may cost more than the lens it's self. Good set.

orrrrr..... you were getting ready to attach the lense for a closeup of aquatic life, it slipped out of your hand, you tried to break the fall with your foot and indadvertantly... kicked it into 12 feet of water in the lake. Dam... hate when that happens... o and don't forget the tears while saying in a small squeaky voice "I loved that lense!" Loved all your shots, the red in #5 draws me, love to fry up some of those #3 green babies... and, ugh don't ya just hate dirt on the sensor, have to send my camera out for a cleaning.

Lenses are worse than drugs. Every time you buy it is the last one you need or the last one you want. Then there is another and another.
The 100 macro is a sweet chunk of glass and is one heck of a humingbird lens too. It was my second to the last fix. My 24mm Tilt/Shift got here this week. It is going to be interesting.
Next is going to be the pack mule to haul all of it around for me.

Agree with ClassyShots lenses are worse than drugs and they are always coming out with new ones that I would love to have. On my wish list is a Tilt/Shift lens. Don't know if I'll ever get one. They are a lot of money. Nice shots

I think reason #6: I just don't wanna.
Great job with the borrowed toy though. Love the lighter leaf shots... something about the light background makes it really dreamy looking.
