It's that time of year again! It's the Best of 2007 photo challenge. Please read this entire post before submitting your entry.

Here are the rules.
Each picture submitted had to be shot in the year 2007. It can be a picture we haven't seen yet, but it must have been taken in 2007.
We have 6 categories:
Best of 2007 Portrait
Best of 2007 Macros
Best of 2007 Architechure
Best of 2007 Still Life
Best of 2007 Landscapes
Best of 2007 Wildlife
To Enter: Anyone who wants to participate chooses only 1 category to enter and only 1 photo for that category. Put in the title of your entry post "Best of 2007 Entry(insert category here)". That way we can organize them appropriately to keep them separate and in order.
Example: Say you wanted to enter a photo for the category Portrait. In the title of the post, you would put "Best of 2007 Entry Portrait".
How to vote: Write the word "vote" first in the comment section.
Only 1 vote per category, per person. Feel free to comment on any entry post during the challenge.
Special note: I am not going to count the votes in the "vote" section. The reason being is that I am not able to track who the votes are coming from, and if someone has voted more than once in one category. Please continue to use the vote section to get the entries to the front page (that's important), but if you want your vote to count, please write the word "vote" first in your comment. I hope I explained that ok. :)

Like many of you, I had a difficult time choosing. . . getting older; getting pickier. 
ALMOST THE END OF A VERY LONG DAY OF PACKING, WE CAMPED IN THE SMALL BUNCH OF TREES IN THE BOTTEM
Here is my entry for the Best of 2007 contest. I got up before sunrise to check out the sunrise on the marsh at Lake Minnetonka. This image of the cattails with fog in the background was my favorite of the shoot.
This shot was taken just last month, the day after one of the most beautiful snowfalls I have ever seen. The temperature was about 31° as eight inches of snow fell during the late afternoon and early evening causing it to cling to everything it touched. Then before morning, the temperature plummeted into the teens and froze the snow in place. The next morning was truly a Winter Wonderland. I hope you enjoy!
Here is my entry for the Landscapes catagory. I had thought I would do a wildlife entry, but came across this one.

It's been a such a frantic week here with the funeral preps and stuff that I haven't even had the camera out, let alone try to pick a best of anything. But that reminded me of a hectic day late last year and the few minutes Jaryd and I stole to drive thru a local park on the way home from an aborted road trip. This was the only shot that day and it's not the best here and maybe not even my best but it's not bad and it's a typical Hoosier Autumn. I wish I could go back to that spot right now.
This one is my pick for Landscapes.
It's so hard to choose, but I do think that this has to be my favorites. I took it on a cold morning in November 2007, when I was feeling very alone and uncertain. I thought that the cloud formations were 'interesting' and didn't really 'see' them until I downloaded them at which time they reminded me of angels,
