One shot says it all

Not much of a story today. Just one shot of a few of the animals at the zoo, including the Red-river hog, African Elephant, Red Panda, and Saddlebill Stork.
Hope you're not getting tired of it, although there's really not much left... Just a few cats coming next week.
Thanks for looking and commenting!
Miscellaneous and some Twos
For challenge...
For fun...
Just for fun. The reason why I can't get anything done... babysitting the grandcat. The dummy just got done climbing over my head to jump at a bird outside the window.
Ole Split-ear Was outside this morning before first light watching for the deer and only caught a bunny over by the cornfield. It has a split ear. Not real good quality too dark out. Made it at least recognizable in PS.
It's a horsey!
Went for another drive around the neighborhood today. Cloudy and overcast. Here's the result. I don't know what kind of flowers those are but they were pretty. It's getting ready to storm here so I had to be quick. Comments and criticisms welcome... just remember I haven't voted yet.
You'll never catch ol SG lion... Nope.....
Drive by Shooting...
I got to go riding around awhile today before I start my medicine for tomorrow then I'll have to stay pretty close to "home". The ones of the heron would have been better but I shot it out of the car and right into the sun. When I first drove by the pond it was down in the water and I thought it was a duck with something. I stopped, backed up, and seen what it was grabbed the camera and fired off a couple before this guy came up behind me in a RV. By the time I got pulled out of the way and across the road he flew off with his fish. He didn't have any problem flying with it even though it was pretty good size.
As always, comments and criticisms are well deserved.

Here it is... the last installment. Please no applause.I apologize for the sculpture shots. I missed getting them when we turned onto the road to the zoo and the view inside the park is blocked by construction. All you can see is the top of it. It is an awesome sculpture. Here are the non-awesome sculpture pics:

Mostly birds this time. the shot of the puma was the toughest... it was hidden on a limb... and I had to shoot thru the cable net and some leaves after I finally found an open spot to even see it. It was so hot and miserable he was panting and drooling and so was I. If you ain't sick of animals now... you soon will be! Tried to keep'em small!

St. Louis Zoo - Part II.
Here's the second installment of the St. Louis zoo pics. Hope you're not bored yet cause there's more.St. Louis Zoo - Part I.
Made it to the zoo Saturday! The St. Louis zoo and it was the hottest most humid day I've ever seen. The animals just wanted to sleep in the shade and I couldn't blame them. Three hours driving both ways about 5 hours at the zoo and 5 or 6 at Harrah's Casino made for a long day! I'll try to spread the pics out over 2-3 days. Tried to keep them as small as possible. If you're sick of zoo animals, well, too bad, I had to suffer to get these and if you don't like them... well, your kids probably will!
Flippin' me the man!

Ooh, that's Tasty!
They're doing a lot of remodeling and expansion at the zoo. The gorilla exhibit was temporarily closed (dang it). They've erected a neat sculpture on the edge of the zoo called "Animals Always". It's an awesome sculpture out of rusted iron that looks like paper cutouts of various animals. Really nice but we flew buy in the car before we knew it was there. Got a couple pics I'll show later but need to go back to do it justice.
Now I'm going to try and catch up here. I know I'm too far behind on everyone's posts after two days off.
This Memorial Day weekend ... I think I'll just....
It appears that Zoo's have been very popular lately...
St. Louis Zoo
Buccaneer Bruce's post earlier reminded me of the many zoos we visit and I've been scanning in a lot of old photos trying to get my website back going again. So I thought I'd post some. These are from 2002 at The St. Louis Zoo, Forest Park, St. Louis, MO! This is one of the best zoos in the country and admission is still free which makes it a no-brainer if you're going to St. Louis. Some attractions charge a fee and parking is $9 which ain't bad for the zoo you're geting. We've been talking about going again soon.Barb just called while I was writing this and we found out our first grandkid is a... BOY! Whooo Hooo, Sorry SG! Anyway here are the scans, ignore any dust spots and have fun.
Gateway Arch
Aw, C'mon Honey! Don't be that way.
Peek-A-Boo
USS Hippo
Leopard watching me...
Leopard watching me too closely... I'm ready for fight or flight... leaning heavy toward flight!
Cool Dude! Sorry, SG, I know you're a surfer dude and live on the beach but his guy is cooler!
Wave Bye Bye! Double barreled shot for Cherish.
After looking at these I remember the leopard well, he actually moved around so he could still make eye contact until we moved on... it was kinda scary. If he attacked, I was counting on Barb throwing herself between us. As always comments and criticisms are welcome here, as long as they don't stay too long.
Mother and child...
It's been 6 months since Mrs.SG and I lost our home to a fire... well we begin moving back in .. in the morning so ... if you don't mind, I am going to post tomorrows challange entry a bit early... and will be busy for the next few days...
Every once in a while you capture that extra special shot... sometimes because you tried to get it.. and sometimes because you screwed up the shot so badly ... it's perfect in your eyes... This is the way I feel about this shot... I call it "E"motion...
"E"Motion..Mother and Child...

So ... Just a few from SG's Zoo in Review....
