Just a couple of shots

By mercedes written 9/18/06 11:04 AM, published 9/18/06 11:04 AM

I have had a hard time getting out and being creative lately. I'm almost even tired of taking pictures of my son, almost. I though this picture of Aiyana's Popup Linkbirthday party was cute. I took this at Iao valley, it's the  Popup Linkceiling in a pavillion there. Finally I thought this would work well for the  Popup Linksymmetry theme.

Just a normal day in town

By stormy written 8/5/06 9:54 PM, published 8/5/06 9:54 PM
Our town is rich in art.  We were driving down the road by the art center which I have taken many of times but it was something that my five year old said that got my attention.  Mom, Look at that Popup Linkfunny tree.  At first I was not sure what she was talking about so we went down the road again to see the  Popup Linkfunny tree.  As we were turning around in the parking lot of the local art center we came across another neat piece of Popup Linkart.

On our way home we drove the scenic route and came across this beautiful  Popup Linkold episcopal church.  I was intrigued with the Popup Linkwindows.

The Getty Villa has re-opened

By vintner67 written 3/5/06 2:11 PM, published 3/5/06 2:11 PM
My wife and I went to the newly re-opened Getty Villa. For those that don't know, it is a museum of Greek and Roman antiquities set in a replica of a Popup LinkRoman Villa in Herculaneum that was buried by the eruption of Vesuvius. And it is on a hill above Santa Monica Bay. It is a beautiful place and just newly renovated. It is full of  Popup Linkmarble statues and  Popup Linkbronze busts and Popup Linkbronze statues. It is set up just like a villa with an Popup Linkinner peristyle with bronze statues of   Popup Linkwomen standing next to a pool. And there is an Popup Linkouter peristyle with a statue of  Popup LinkBacchus and some beautiful  Popup Linkfrescos. There is a new  Popup Linkampitheater.
The  Popup Linkeast garden fountain is nice as is the Popup Linknew entrance Popup Linkentrance2  I also got a picture of a Popup Linkwild eyed bronze and an Popup Linkorange fruit or seedpod. We had a great time even though it rained. We recommend anyone that can, to make reservations and enjoy the Popup Linkart and Popup Linkarchitecture Popup Linkarchitecture 2 Popup Linkarchitecture 3.

I was driving on the road here that goes by the county dump, and I noticed a strange...Popup LinkFence. It was all metal and rusted. It must hide an artist that works in raw materials...stone, metal, even water. Here are some shots of the parts of the fence..Popup LinkFence thing..now if you look in this hole, you'll see a chain link looking art form he or she is working on..it's the size of a .. Explain Yourself!! Bi-weekly theme

By Penny written 10/30/05 5:28 PM, published 10/30/05 5:28 PM
Let's get to know a little about each other.  Using photos tell us something about yourself.  Who are you?  What do you do?  What do you like?  What are your talents?  Show your old school pics if you want.  etc....

Here is my example:
I am very family oriented.  I am married and have two sons. (But I do not post pics of my family without permission)  So here are some more hints about me:

This post will start on October 21st.

Have fun with it, the sky is the limit. But keep it so we don't need warnings on them.   Old and new pics are okay.

Next theme meister will be drum roll please.....Jeffrey!

Book Cover

By ShadesofBlueArt written 8/19/05 9:25 PM, published 8/19/05 9:25 PM

I was just hired to do a website for a science fiction author, nice to say he likes my work and is giving me the opportunity to design his next book cover. While it is not typical photography, it does incorporate alot of photo elements and my art. This is the first markup for the front cover.Popup LinkCover
