Custom Titles
I've done some pretty major changes to avatars & titles.  They are now lumped under the common term "Custom Title".  For non-subscribers it costs $3.95 to purchase one.  If you are a subscriber, you can change your custom title any time you would like free of charge.

As always, the dimensions for your avatars are 100x100, but you do not upload them here like you did before - avatars are all self-contained in their own cute little page of happyness.

"Forums"
Photographica now has a build in forum system, which you will find on the right column.  There is a Feedback Forum, which you can post questions, comments and suggestions.  For subscribers, there is a subscribers only forum where you can post anything you'd like.  Both support the full gamut of popup & html tags.

Since I haven't seen this anywhere, I'm going to go ahead and ask. I want to have an avatar, but in the drop down box, there aren't any photos of the proper size for me to use. Are there maximum dimensions for an avatar? I tried to upload a 175x175 photo and it didn't work. Thank You

O.K.  I am trying to upload an image to use as an avatar for my posts.  When I go to add the image (which fits the size requirements) I get a warning that I must enter my password to make any changes.

I am logged in, and when I did it again, I entered my password, twice, down at the bottom, still I get the same message.

Any clue as to what I am doing wrong?

Hello everyone. I have been scanning the site for a few months now and finally decided to take the plunge and join. So far I have uploaded some of my digital pics from the past couple years, have not gotten around to scanning my others. I am still getting used to how this thing works, so any constructive critisisms would be helpful and appreciated. I am having trouble getting my picture loaded for the "your picture" portion of prefereces, again any help would be great.  

I've added in the ability to give yourself an avatar! Why did I do this? Cause I thought it was a bit cool!

To change your avatar:

1. Upload a file under 150 pixels tall and 126 wide.
2. Go into your prefs and select the image you just uploaded as your "picture" (I am going to change the labling on that soon...).
3. Enjoy!

Woo hoo! Two cool new features (besides karma)

• Story Pictures - You can bind a "icon" type picture to your story. This is right under the title box when you write your new entry.
• Portraits - You can now update your user preferences to include a self portrait.

Now, you may be wondering why no pictures are showing up for you in either box - this is because you dont have any small enough. I'd be crazy to let anybody post any sized image to the front page! For Story Pictures, you can only have images smaller then 150 (height) x 200 (width). For self portraits, you can only have pictures that are 400x500. I made these numbers up, so if you find these (especially the portrait) unreasonable, let me know.
