From the Honduras
Having just returned from a trip to the Caribbean, I took some pictures while on the island of Roatan that I thought I'd share:
Beach: Roatan, Honduras - a rather tourist-y area of Roatan, many crowded unpaved streets and tourist shops - and an occasional view of the gorgeous beach and waters...
Cows: Roatan, Honduras - I thought it was interesting that cows languished on the beach here...
Shipwreck: Roatan, Honduras - if you look close in the grass, there's a tombstone... but the shipwreck out in the water steals away your eye...
Church: Roatan, Honduras - a hillside Church
I attempted to take some pictures using my cameras "NEF" or "RAW" capabilities, but my version of Photoshop does not know how to handle the document - the error message says it is "not the right type of document." Does anybody know what I need to do?

Pan Handle Shots
On my ride the other day I really came across some great places. There was a special vibe here. After I got back, I saw this castle. Don't all women think about riding horses on the beach? Here is a different kind of bucking bronco.

Beach Portraits
My wife wanted us to all get dressed up and try some portraits on the beach. I didn't like any of the ones with me in them. Mostly because of the poor subject material, but also because working the self timer and running into the shot made it hard for me to pose. Here is a shot of the kids and Sharon and the girls. As you can see in the thumb sunset shot, the water is great for kayaking, but not surf material. I'm going to get on the motorcycle today with the camera and go out and do some scene shots.

Destin White Sand

Here's a couple of shots I took while we were in Destin, Florida a few weeks ago. We love the white sand beaches and tourquoise blue water.

New_Years_141 I got up VERY early on New Years Day to welcome the new year. It was quite cold, and I nearly got frostbite, but it was worth it. New_Years_146 New_Years_089 New_Years_076

Manhattan Beach Pier
Well I am currently traveling in Seattle and uploaded these pictures to my laptop before I left home on Monday. I have my wife flying out for the weekend since I will be here until the end of next week. I am hoping for some nice weather this weekend so we can go out and take some pictures.
The following pictures were taken two weeks apart. I usually stay close to LAX before the flight home. The last two trips I stayed in Manhattan Beach and went down to the beach for some sunset pictures. The best pictures came after the sun was down. The first two were taken the same day and looking at the pictures on the LCD of the camera I noticed the reflections in the as the waves receded. I started to time the pictures for the maximum reflection. The camera was tripod mounted for all three and I experimented with different exposures and combination of settings with regards to aperture and shutter speed.

Sailing
Assateague Island

You know that first trip you go on with your new camera? The one where you take all kinds of shots to show off all that it can do? I went to Assateague Island.
Indulge in these oh-so-random pictures of the Island……
I hope all of these links work-Tell me what you think!
This last one wasn't from the island. It was taken, I THINK, two years ago.
Oops I forgot to include these pictures...

sand dune. Our next stop would be the rocks. Laura thought it would be really funny to climb on the rocks. As we sat on the rocks the fishing boats started to come in from the Gulf of Mexico into the pass after a hard day of fishing. Not on one of those boat but on our own darling husband and two of our girls caught this big red snapper. The end of a perfect couple of days at the beach we decided to go to the Ferris Wheel. Have you ever wonder what the person in the gondola sees when they are waiting for the ferris wheel to take off and start? This is what I saw. And right next to me is my darling three year old who made me get on this ferris wheel despite my fear of heights. As we left the view of the ferris wheel came in many inviting colors of lights
