LOCAL SCENES & PEOPLE
This set is made up of recent shots of local sites and people of special interest to me. Some of the people have expressions that give some clue about them, at least I think so.
Surfers wait for the big one, with Los Angeles Harbor in background, some 8 to 10 miles distance
Ocean view houses along Pacific Coast Hwy, all one needs is at least $1.5 million
At Bolsa Chica preserve, I believe this is a Black Crowned Heron, amazing red eyes
Another view of the heron, seemed very elusive
Visiting Texas pal who seems not to believe my tall tales

Memorial Day
I adore this site and am deciding to jump in and give it a whirl! I am just now getting a chance to go through my pictures from my adventures on Memorial Day.
I woke up early and was swept away to a beautiful, virtually untouched, beach.
Seagrass Tucked away in Milford, Connecticut I found Silver Sands State Park. I spent the better part of the day walking the beach, gathering shells, pretty rocks and sun rays. And trying not to step on the dozens of horseshoe crabs
Horseshoe Crab that were dealing with a heavy dose of spring fever. If you get my drift. Pun intended.
From there the next stop was Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center where I was treated to flowers, great egrets,
Egret osprey, cardinals, even more rustic shoreline and swans!
Swans Yes, while I was walking the shore I turned around to head back and 22 (I counted them) swans had flown in and landed in the ocean that I had just strolled by. Nature at it's best!

I took my first trip to Chicago this Weekend and just my luck the temperature was in the nineties making it an almost unbearable day. It seemed that the only ones not concerned with the heat were the Got a new Camera

Life in SG's back yard...

The kids are just as much into photography as I am. Every time they see a bird, squirrel or other animal, they call out for me to bring the camera. I had seen quiet a few cardinals around, but every time I brought the camera out, they were gone. But this time I got lucky:
