Turns out the lomos don't work. I got them in a bulk of 3 on ebay.. the one my boyfriend retained does work, the two I got do not. Oh well I guess. The Anyway, due to the loss of two things I've anxiously anticipated for over a month [the shipping from Russia to here took THAT long] I was a little too bummed out to take pictures. So I just decided to throw in two leftovers from this week. I hope you like them.
Here's a picture i took for my ebay auction.
It's a bit long to post here, but a worthwhile read. (shouldn't take more than a minute or two to look at)
I've put it up at http://www.firemark.net/lft.html
Well christmas morning, as I was getting ready to go to my daughter's place to open gifts, I noticed that I forgot my camera. When I went to get it off the dresser, it fell. I turned it on and it worked, Great. But later on when I wanted to take pictures, the camera would not work. It would not turn on.
I was so excited, as I was blowing the leaves in the front yard..whats that I see? it's Santa in a brown UPS truck. Today was the day my canon 20D arrived, but kinda like a Christmas gift..I had to wait to open it. Finally 6 hours later I opened it, and started to read the
Although I haven't had photographs worth posting, I've felt guilty for not contributing. And since I've never played with one of the themes (at least publicly), I thought it was time. So here goes. Grew up in a small town (surprise) and got my degree in interior design at Texas Tech. Didn't work much in the field but still love to The Canon 20D fits SOOOOO well in my hand, and I love the features. Not being that much of a pro, I probably wouldn't use all the features that it has, but in time I probably would. And with 8.2 mega pixels, I cant go wrong.
The Canon Rebel XT does everything the 20D does with the exception that it doesn't have a 1/8000 of a second f-stop: fastest the XT goes is 1/4000. Am I really going to miss a 1/4000 of a second difference? And it's about $500 less than the 20D.But... it just doesn't fit in my hand the way the 20D does: I have to curl up my forefinger just to get to the shutter button. Obviously, a smaller body shape.
The Nikon advantage is that it has a larger size lens that allows more light to get in, plus the mirror inside is larger, also. It only has a 6.2 mega pixel, though.
Having said all that, how do you feel about the choices I looking at? And is there any other ones that you would reccomend? I am open to all suggestions, and would appreciate your words of wisdom.
