Guys, I'm thinking about pulling some of my older stories...whatcha' think?? Anyway this little digicam I have now is really producing some decent shots and some of my older stories are just messy. I'd like to save them to my files but that's not possible, huh??
So here's some street and road shots for your opinion. First, here's a couple shots that seem typical at first glance, but the archs really do get smaller DSCI0022 DSCI0028
Here's another orphan kicked to the curb DSCI0006
These are Stanley Marsh signs, the first being on his ranch, Toad Hill. DSCI0016 DSCI0002
Could anything be more discouraging than having... DSCI0003 ???
Finally for the weary traveler DSCI0012
So, there's yet another story posted from my corner of your world! Enjoy!

I've added a new feature that lets you mark comments you find helpful. It is pretty simple, if you found a comment helpful, just click "yes". If you didn't, click "no".

Just when you thought they could not read traffic signs.....Wrong!
When I go crabbing
I'm always wishing
Some crab will be my prize;
But while I'm crabbing,
The crab are wishing
Otherwise.
And all the wishes
Of all the crabs
Seem always to come true;
So all my wishes
To catch some crabs
Never do.

Have not post here for a while. I could make all the excuses in the world but the reality is that I have not been inspired enough. Not that I have not been taking photos, Just not a lot.
Here are two from my attic window. we have had some beautiful sunsets this fall. attic_window_sunset and DSC_4052 (this one is a bit cluttered but I like the tower form Canada in it)
And here are two nature shots from my yard. grasshopper and Mushroom_slug
Thank you for the comments and
have a great photo day. ;)

Went to my favorite rat rod car show again this year in Lebanon, TN. I had so much fun, much more than last year and I'm super pleased with how my shots came out. I'm going to try and make these as painless as possible so I'm going to split them up between two different slideshows (hopefully I'll have the other images ready soon to post too).
Let me know if there's anything I can do to improve these, I plan to make my visits as annual as the show itself. Also, thanks for looking! Have a great Monday!

i sprung mom from the rehab joint and took her to the first annual rt 66 festival in st. louis. it was held at the old chain of rocks bridge (which was part of rt 66 from '35 until '65). lots of cars and a beautiful day in the sunshine.
Wow...It's been a long time since I've posted.
Thought I'd share a few pictures from the retreat I just came back from.
Every year our region for the corporation I work for, does a team building retreat. This year we went to the Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch just outside of Loveland, CO. We had a blast It is so beautiful up there. Really nice to get out of the city and enjoy some clean air.

And amazing scenery IMG_0153
Just watch out for the bears.......they will break into your car. Fortunately, this one did not get broken into despite the window being half way down and french fries in the back! IMG_0198 We're pretty sure it was a baby.
Hope you're having a great weekend!!
Out and about this summer, I had taken pictures along various roads; this one alongside the cemetary road DSC00967 , walking around my neighborhood I admired the beauty of these purple flowers growing out of a crack alongside the road DSC01045 , out for a hike with my boyfriend I got these shots of the trail road ahead DSC00929 winding around the foothills DSC00932 and at our neighborhood/city street fair, the road was closed off to vehicles but this one found a loop hole DSC01213 , there were so many cute dogs Happy in the shadows trying not to get lost in the crowds DSC01238 , some had to be picked up This adorable pug and all were enjoying sights, Beverly Hills Bakery , local art Local art sounds and smells (or for the olfactory impared; you can follow the sausages to the vendor DSC01230 ). Further down the road we spied some Funky wood art / toys or lawn ornaments (whatever you want them to be!), Spray painted art and I happen to think Gourd art is so fun! Although I don't know how to make it yet. Although we didn't get out much, we did have a fun summer. :)

The pile of concert on the bank is the remains of a bridge that was dropped for a construction project. The road (Interstate 70) was open 24 hours later. ChallengRoadsBridges

Last Saturday morning we took a drive to peaceful little Binder Lake near Jefferson City, Mo. The fog had just disappeared from the lake leaving a bit of a mist in the air. We were there mostly by ourselves except for a few early morning joggers, but by about 10 am, there were people setting sail in small colorful sail boats at the far end of the lake. However, Geese were honking and gliding to perfect landings on the still water at the location we were parked. So, this is where I focused my attention. My wife napped in the car while I shot these.

Had the pleasure of visiting Yosemite NP just a few weeks ago and here are a fwe pics that I was able to take.
Here's my entry. These guys couldn't make up their minds which way to go. Check out the one lying in the road. IMG_1579
