Back in May I took my wife to New York City for our first anniversary. We were only there for four days and three nights but we had a great time. We kind of wish we could have lived there for a year or two when we were younger. These are some of the pictures we took.
This was a big
#9 sign That we ran into walking around the city. Be sure to scroll that one. I took it with my wife on both sides and thought it would be neat to paste them together.
New York Canyon and
New York Canyon 2 we were on our way to the Metroplitan Museum. I thought the sun looked great on the buildings.
Jackie O Resevoir and
Turtle Pond were both in Central Park and they looked great at sunset.
The
altar and a side
prayer altar at St Patricks Cathederal were both beautiful.
The
Chrysler building and the
Brooklyn Bridge were both incredible to see from the cruise around Manhattan island.
It was amazing in such a large and loud city, how quiet everyone was around the
World Trade Center site.
We listened to some great jazz at
Birdland. Not the original, but the jazz was still awsome.
And this was the
fire escape to our hotel. I thought it would make a great picture.
We had a great time in New York and can't wait to get back, I hope you enjoy the pictures.
When I find myself in times of trouble
And when the broken hearted people
Living in the world agree
There will be an answer, let it be.
For though they may be parted
There is still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer, let it be.
And when the night is cloudy
There is still a light that shines on me
Shine until tomorrow, let it be.
I wake up to the sound of music
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
Let it be, let it be. Let it be, yeah let it be.
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.
I went down to NYC on Veteran's Day for a photo outing. The above shot was the only one that I was happy with. I'll be posting some others over the next few days. For now, a tribute to Beholden and Saturday Night Live:
