I haven't been to this bridge for almost a year and it just gets better and better. This bridge was used by Confederate soldiers on the way to the big brawl at Gettysburg. I met a woman there who claimed to be a "Spirit Reader".......says she sees the past and the future and she sees dead Civil War soldiers lying all around the bridge. I missed that part, all I saw was some damn nice scenery.

For 20 years the city historical society along with the black community have been trying to determine if this is an actual "Roosevelt School" or not; but finally 5 years ago they raised enough money to partially restore the Old Black School

... when weeding the flower garden but the Challenge made it seem like a good idea. The Brown-eye Susan flowers had guests: Unknown Bug , Katydid , Butterfly1 . There was a Bee on Cone Flower , a Grasshopper nymph chewing on the Hollyhock leaves, and White-lined Sphinx Moth defending a grape leaf. The moth was very funny because when disturbed it vibrated its wings. I guess it was trying to frighten me away. Finally there was the fledgling wren who launched himself shortly after this photo Fledgling Wren and crashed into the flowers and hid.
I brought my camera! Apparently I'm the cat person in both my famlies. everyone else has dogs. Ok, to be fair, they have cats too, but she seems to like her canines better. here's cj trying to get a few minutes of peace.
I suppose up here in MT, baby bucks eating apples in your front yard is normal. Since this is only my 3rd visit here, the jury's still out.
Then there are the farm pets. Ty likes bird watching so those pesky birds don't steal his food. And the barn_cat , Patches, who is very useful at keeping tiny critters away.

Atop a Lake Superior sand dune is perched this Tangled Tree whose only task is to wait for its demise from the sands and winds of time.
remembering when dice was a kitty...so tiny so much time passes by and before you know it things grow up around you.
My camera club's challenge this month is: "In The Garden" ... I'm sure that this shot is not what they had in mind ... But what do you think? ... Is this image a ribbon winner? Tombstone ... Or should I start over?

Or as I affectionately call them: The BadAss Lands! I loved this place! It was so unreal and like another planet. No seriously, as we were driving it's normal desert landscape then you turn down the road into the Bisti Wilderness and it's like you've just crossed a vortex onto the moon. It's so crazy cool!
And boy was our one night crazy. Check out the crazy winds we had to endure all evening (starting about 5:30 pm) into the morning. But the weather, although crazy produced some of my favorite images from the trip:
Part of me wished we had more than just an evening there, but then we woke up 7:30 am to blistering heat and we were thankful to leave that part behind. I'm super stoked about my film shots from this place, but alas I won't know how they look until next week.

I’m Stick-T-Whale. I normally don’t travel this far inland, but there was enough water for me and my friends to make the journey. Some of my fellow travelers are a bit shy, while others like to make their presence known. Some people think that I would eat those pore fishies, but since coming here, I’ve turned vegetarian. I will be traveling back to the wide open seas come fall; I like my water liquid, not frozen.

Along Came a Spider ......I caught this little guy while grilling some burgers at my sister's house the other day. The web was incredible. A large network of silk with, what looked like a zipper woven in the middle. Fortunatley, my daughter had left her coolpix on the picnic table next to me......Ironically, it seemed that he was having lunch as well.
...i took a walk at my in-laws and brought my camera along. per the challenge, i took shots of things i don't usually see or have my camera for. since i'm a "city girl" pigs, tractors & such are not in my area. had to get them while i have opportunity. hope you enjoy, feedback welcomed.
I've recently started walking...again! Anything to "drop" a few pounds. So, I brought the camera...I did more shooting than walking!
