Sex Organs of Plants

(This is my first post, so I encourage you to berate me for making mistakes; knowledge gained from embarrassment beats ignorant bliss any day.)

Macro (close-up) photography is the niche I've found. The links below lead to photographs of flowers taken around my neighborhood in coastal Massachusetts by a Nikon Coolpix 4500 digital camera, mostly in manual mode.

The thumbnail is a Popup Linkdaffodil.

An ant drinking Popup Linkdandelion wine, so to speak.

The zaftig blossoms of a Popup Linkpea plant growing by the sea.

A Popup Linkpoppy has learned the subtle art of mutually beneficial trickery.

Popup LinkChicory, viewed beneath a camera's lens, seethes with pollen.

Sorry about the poetic descriptions -- I couldn't resist.
