Down by the creek

We're still in Chimayo today.  No more buildings, though.  I was a bit hard on myself when it came down to selecting the images to process and I weeded out a lot of shots from here.  But today I've decided to share a few shots I took while we played in the creek that afternoon.  I know two of them are inspired by a long lost photographica member.  I always loved his feather shots, but I just don't think I can do the subject the same justice that he does....

Feather 1         Feather 2

And the last shot for today just seemed too compelling not to take as I walked along the creek edge.  These rocks were lined up like this when I got to them.  Sometimes nature makes the best arrangement, so why mess with it?

Thanks for looking and remember:  Comments of all kinds are always welcomed!
Tomorrow, we start the actual camping sites as we head into Chaco Canyon.

They're finally here!

That's right ladies and gents.  Get ready for weeks of southwest shots.  I don't guarantee any kind of excellence, but I would appreciate any all feedback on anything I post.

Today I'm starting with Chimayo.  We didn't spend much time at all in Santa Fe.  We basically just slept there for 3 nights and during the day we were constantly moving (and never really knew where we were going until 10 minutes before we left).  So I don't have pictures of Santa Fe, but that's ok.  I have LOTS of pictures of everywhere else I went.  I'm not going to try and go into the back story of this place because it would get long and drawn out, but here is a link that you can find out all about it.

Now, to the pictures.

Again, comments, criticism and suggestions are always appreciated on my posts.
Have a great Monday!
