Last month on my birthday, a friend took me down country roads where we found Cherokee roses Popup LinkDESCRIPTION_HERE growing wild. They were everywhere! We also came across this old Dodge DartPopup LinkDESCRIPTION_HERE . It was sitting all alone out in a field. It reminded me of a red Dodge Dart I used to have Popup LinkDESCRIPTION_HERE

The Faults of Mankind

By TravLin Vicariously written 3/25/06 9:41 PM, published 3/25/06 9:41 PM
Today I brought my Rebel for a walk down memory lane to the places my little feet once played.  I was hoping to stir up those exciting memories of being 10 years old in the world I once called my own.  Instead, I walked away with a feeling of disgust.

This is the smallPopup Linkpond I once caught frogs in and skated on.

This Popup Linkfactory building was once someones pride and joy.  Why was it so easy for someone to leave it for time to Popup Linktake its toll?

Here is one for the forgotten Popup LinkCora Anna who died at age 19.  I found her grave stone thrown in the woods, left there to be Popup Linkforgotten by everyone.

All of my young friends and I once played near this building.  Now, someone has posted a Popup Linkwarning sign, not that it helped this Popup Linkraccoon who cannot read!  I have to wonder what is in the barrels behind him.

Time changes everything, but often times, not for the better.

One New and some Re-visiting

By Marksda1 written 3/22/06 7:18 AM, published 3/22/06 7:18 AM
Yesterday, Kay pondered what thePopup Linkold depot I posted would look like in black and white. So, I made a couple of non-color attempts.

And one new shot from a small town.  These really hit me because someone somewhere once called this place home, not his building per se, but the place it inhabited in the past.  And now only brick and memories remain.

Broken Barn - Last Call

By codepoit written 2/19/06 5:45 AM, published 2/19/06 5:45 AM
One more post from the old barn. I took a lot of pictures here, and it has taken me a long time to go through them all. I was going through them again one last time to make sure I didn't miss anything when I found these three, and thought they were worth showing...
