I have always loved taking pics and having pics all over my house, but last year I've gotten really into it.
The pics are from Mt. Rainier last Christmas, when it was cold and there was plenty of snow....and I just happen to catch a beautiful Washington suset somewhere a long the way......snow cold Mt. Rainier sunset

These are some photos I took at the International Wolf Center in Ely Minnesota. Leader of the pack I have been there many times, but on this day the wolves were hanging out where you could see them pretty good.Relaxing After watching them for a while I concluded they are just big dogs, with all the usual dog behavior.kiss These timberwolves are very big and they live in the wild up here. In the winter especially you can hear packs of them howling.the pack They are agile hunters, here is one on the prowl. I'd like to introduce you all to the newest member of our family. We adopted Frankie yesterday. She is a 7 year old Dachshund, who is full of life and energy.She gets very protective of her tennis balls. They are like a security blanket for her, and doesn't like anyone else to go near them. She also has a blanket, and loves to roll up in it, and looks like "pigs in a blanket".

Barney was my Dad's pooch and his best friend the last 7 years of his life.
My Dad took this dog everywhere!
Now as Barney and I lay on the floor, our heads touching, I can almost hear my Dad saying, "Good boy Jeff!"

Well, I haven't posted for a while and this is why.  Not me thankfully, although I think it might have been easier but, my almost 2 year old Lab, in her eagerness and playful joy, has done it.

We had the surgery on Tuesday and came home last night.  Loaded with tranquilizers and pain meds she is in for 12 - 18 weeks of recovery.  (READ: limited activity. . . . Mom. . . Hold me back)  Ughhh I have my hands full but, the doctor says she'll be back to her old self in no time.  Hah, easy for him to say Ya know, they sure did shave her a lot!

Wish me luck and patience. . .

Today there was a special demonstration at the Morton Arboretum - Lisle, IL The Huskies Were there to tell people about sleddogs and racing and Adopting  Huskies! Here is kinda what it looks like as the dogs Get ready to run.

WAKE UP PRINCESS, IT'S A BRAND NEW DAY, FRESH AND NEW!

Shortly before Christmas 2005 I was shooting some photos of our Christmas Tree and this little snoop kept getting in the way.  So I set the camera on macro and got real close to capture this shot of our dog "Lacie".   I've never seen a more inquisitive animal.  She's always got to be in the middle of things. Oliver is a character. He loves his picture taken. Here he is with his  best friend. We travel in the car alot and most of the time he is so tired. He has so many friends he plays with that his only down time is when we are on the road. He is a good watch dog. Don't let his size fool you. With those ears he can hear everything!!

Thank you all for creating and maintaining this wonderful place in time and space.   Are my 24 hours up?  I'm seeing photos everywhere I look now.

Mishka is Russian for teddy bear. Da? Das vee donya. He arrived looking like a monkey,  teddy bear and asquirrel .  Now he is 10 months old, bilingual and he is a .lion king, pickpocket and a couch dog.   Jazzy is his best friend.  Mishka is my baby, my Mishie Picshe, my Mishka, Mishca, Mishcou.  He dreams Coney Island of  all the time.
