My Best shot captured on my recent trip to New York :)
Save a Horse

Happy Independance day Everyone!! Especially those past and present that gave us the independance to celebrate!!
An Uncommon Group . . . .

The only thing these pictures have in common is that I took them on a recent trip to Montana.
We had record snowfall amounts in the North Cascades this winter, and this is the result of the spring melt (it was raining in addition to the spray and mist, resulting in an almost dreamlike quality - except for the deafening roar of the water) Snoqualmie_Falls1
This one I should have had for the BLUE challenge - how many shades can you count (aqua counts too) Flathead_Lake (I know the horizon should be higher or lower, but I couldn't move it without losing shades of blue in the sky or water).
And finally, lots of timber industry in Montana, as you might imagine, and I liked the look of these bundles of fence_posts
Just a Couple of Shots From This Morning

I took a little spin this morning and got these. The first is a little country church that seats about 30 people, max. I liked it's shake roof and steeple. Then a few minutes later, I got the second shot...the rail fence photo with the dogwood trees in the background.
Hope you like them.
A Little Of This And A Little Of That
Just some recent shots.

Mill Creek Had an opportunity to do a little fly fishing when on a business trip to Asheville, NC. This is where I went.
Please provide feedback. I have only been taking photos for a couple of months and want as much help and/or criticism as I can get. My feelings don't get hurt easily...
B&W's
Yes it is true. I was stalking the Quabbin Reservoir
I am still wondering where spring is...still no colors out here other than brown. So, here are some more brown pictures for you:)These photos are from the Quabbin Reservoir. It was created by flooding 4 towns in MA in 1939. The flooding was completed in 1946 providing drinking water for the Boston area.
It is a great place for wildlife pics, but today I felt too lazy to hike in the woods. One thing about this area... it is full of deer ticks. I had my share of them over the weekend. Gross!! So, here are some roadside shots
Maybe it is just me, but I thought I could see something in this tree trunk.
Please feel free to give me your honest suggestions. I cannot improve without your help:)

Down the Row
I was sitting in my living room and noticed the sun had come out from behind the clouds. The first time in 3 days, so I grabbed up the kids and loaded them in the Jeep and went searching for the perfect place to take pictures of the sunset. I took all these photos out the window of the car and within about a mile from my house. I hope you enjoy them.Have a safe Halloween weekend everyone!

Fence, Wall and Gate
These photos were taken at the school where I teach; they are digital infrared which worked a lot better than I thought they would given the overcast day.SHADOWS

I think by George I might have figured this thing out!

Hawaii.
italy: dolomites
These are the Italian Alps, the Dolomites. They speak more German than Italian here, as the area used to be part of Austria. The rocks on the barn roofs are to melt the snow quicker.

Fences: a funny word if you say it over and over.
This is my first post, so lets see how it works.
