I shot the sheriff but I did not shoot the deputy
MikeH and I decided we needed to give Loweho a reason to smile after his “procedure”. Here are a few items we thought Don needs to turn that frown into a grin.
NFTFOH, NSFE, OSFG (Only suitable for Gorillas) (Do not open in an office environment)
A little soul soothing from the Sheriff.
Mermaid Sheriff Part 1
Mermaid Sheriff Part 2
At the Coney Island Mermaid Parade photo op, the sheriff was there alone with no support group and her smile and enthusiasm lit up the area. She was the only one there that I felt comfortable photographing. She has a generous, photogenic, soothing soul.
ACTION
Last night there was just a little action at my house and sister Kay enjoyed the action tremendously...What do you think
Have a good day!!
The Adventures of Hana and Pyro43 (Part 2)
When Pyro and I arrived at the park, I became confused by the Sea of Yellow. I actually thought that all the yellow objects were members of my family. I rushed into the middle of them only to discover that they were actually dandy lions or something like that. I called and called, but Pyro couldn't hear me or see me. I spent the night in the cold dark park. I was awakened the next morning by a loud noise that kept getting closer and closer. There was grass and dandy lions flying through the air and landing all around me. It was scary! Suddenly, out of nowhere, there was Pyro lifting me from imminent danger. Whew, fer sure!
Having escaped from the blades of doom, I was ready to play. Pyro put me on the
big swing. Then he and I rode on the teeter- totter. You can tell how it's
level that Pyro and I weigh exactly the same. Then I got to go down the
slide which was pretty scary too. But not as scary as being wa-a-a-ay at the top of the
monkey bars. Pyro said if I was too scared to climb down he would call his friends at the fire department and have them bring the big ladder truck. Do you think he was joking? I never did find out, because I was able to get down alone.
Then we went to see the
Lime Kilns. That's me in the very center of the picture making my way up the hill for a better look. I got to see the
Milwaukee River while we were at the park too. We were on the way back to Pyro's truck when, guess what! I found a
shiny penny on the ground. Pyro said when you find a penny it will bring you good luck and I can keep it, so I'm gonna take it along on my future adventures for good luck. Then it was time to go home for supper.
Pyro and I fired up the
grill. Supper was gonna be
Cornish hen. I said it looked a little bland, so we needed to baste it with something. I looked in the
refrigerator and found some apricot preserves so I
basted it.The hen is
done, and it's time to eat.
See ya next time. I'm hungry!
And so too, am I. Please enjoy our little fable.
Enjoying some free time...
I hope everyone takes some time off work to enjoy life...
Hiho!
I'm missing a bone in my left thumb, so it's smaller than the other. No freak accident, it's just been like that since before I can remember. Also, I got a stranger shot [if you can even call it that, har har].. It's a little boy with some
ducks.. I hope it's okay that I didn't ask his permission for the shot... his little hand just shot in when I was clicking.

Midtown Architecture with a Side Trip to Brooklyn

And down below is a
typical fashion district store open to wholesale costumers only. Prices are not displayed. There are hundreds of wholesale stores in this area. I imagine store owners from around the world visit here to purchase garments in bulk. Occasionally the stores will have sample sales open to the public and the word travels fast.
Here are my favorite architectural pieces. Such smooth lines, simplicity, artistically designed, beautiful robust colors, pleasing to the eye and other senses.
Grandma and her friend
Marinara, suitable for framing. So soft it melts in your mouth. Not Manhattan architecture, but Brooklyn, specifically Italia Pizzeria on Kings Highway in Bay Ridge. I could go in to a long discussion here but I'll save that for another time.
Depth of (Depth of (Depth of Field)))
A map of the garment district where I work. I wanted to get just the "You are Here" in focus, but after numerous attempts, including developing film, I gave up.
Parking meter in front of B&H. Guess how much it cost to park here on the street. Any guesses? Answer is further down the page.
Yellow twisted fluorescent energy saver light bulb. Say that five times fast.
Here is my favorite dee of eph. (Depth of food). A
pastrami sandwich from the Carnegie deli, ogled last Monday night, which cost $12.75, but was eaten in two subsequent meals.
The meter cost 50 cents per 15 minutes, which is one dollar an hour, credit cards are accepted. The parking lot behind the meter is something like $15/hour. I hardly drive into the city, but when I do, I find on free street parking.
Manhattan Lunch Hour
Hot dog quarantine
It's been a long time since I had a dirty water dog, a tube steak. I prefer my medicine at Nathans. The person in the green quarantine suit is handing out advertisements for a new internet company.
Sensor overload leads to indifference
These people are protesting the torture of Chinese people. The photo was taken in front of Madison Square Garden. I asked if it was ok to take the photo and the woman with the baton posed for the photo. The protestors are at several sites around the city.
Meditation helps
Right next to the torture exhibit is the meditation exhibit.
Abbey road
The city just installed new middle of the block cross walks on 34th Street
Bridge of Sighs
Several of these bridges between buildings can be seen throughout the city. The green is tin corrosion.
Emergency
An Emergency Services truck stationed outside of Penn Station on the alert for terrorist attack. The truck is headquartered in Harlem, several miles to the north of this location.
911 memorial
Just about all the fire trucks and emergency service trucks carry a memorial to 911.
B train at Sheephead Bay, Brooklyn
This is where I transfer to the Q train on my way home. The subways in Brooklyn and the Bronx run above ground on elevated tracks (The El).
Bad choices
Sorry about the hair...I forgot to shave today.
