A few scenics
Previous post feedback encouraged moving the horizon line away from the middle of the frame; Good advice, but it seems I have done this here a few times as well. Gotta watch that.
Please pick them apart at random as you see fit.

Hot Spring Sunday
I took my first trip to Chicago this Weekend and just my luck the temperature was in the nineties making it an almost unbearable day. It seemed that the only ones not concerned with the heat were the It's All About ME...not really!
These are some pics I took the other morning after I dropped Barb off at work. I went across the street from there to a city park and took a couple pics of the fountain and the mighty Wabash river. It was still kinda dark.Took some pics also on the way home of some rusty metal and done them in B/W.
Since we've had a lot of self-disclosure lately, I've included a pic of myself from 1971 when I was stationed at Shemya AFB in the Aleutian Islands it was taken by my roommate (those are his pics on the wall). He's the one that got me started in photography(blame him). The second of me is about a year ago, I think,... It's me and colossus at my drawing table... that's the first photo of mine I ever framed that wasn't of the kids. One since 1971... that shows the respect I have for my photography.8o)
Fountain? This used to have water curtain down each leg.
On the Banks of the Wabash...not so far away.
Thought these looked better B/W.

Lean, Mean, Fighting Machine!
Not so Lean, Not so Mean, I'm a Lover not a Fighter! My hair appears gray because I accidentally shot this with a gray filter.
As always, your comments and criticism are expected, if not welcome. 8o) The River shot I intentionally placed close to center cause I wanted it to appear more tranquil and serene the way it felt that morning. So, other than that let'er rip!
Gettin' close
Well, I decided to head back to the memorial garden nearby for the new assignment. The only film I had was years out of date( kept in fridge)! I figured let's just see what I get out of it. The color had done some shifting and the local 1 hour did a fairly crappy job of printing, so I just scanned the negs and tried to balance them ( It wasn't easy). Anyway here goes:Folklife Festival '03, Seattle, WA
