these are a year old the end of jan.,but i have to share them with you
cause they're so unique.just south of berlin is this twenty acre woods with a deep ravine. i can always find something interisting to shoot there.

many of us have seen frost flakes forming like it is snowing, but on a crystal clear  cold nite, even sometimes it happens during daylite, no clouds yet it seems to be snowing.these were taken under clear skies at about 15 degrees below zero, and not even a breath of wind at 8:40 am. the sun has been up for a little more than a few minutes. something was coming out of the ground for the frost to form on just at that one spot. nature lovers, i give youPopup Linkfra,Popup Linkfrb, Popup Linkfrc, Popup Linkfrd.

By Penny written 10/28/05 1:00 PM, published 10/28/05 1:00 PM
This morning we had a very heavy frost. So I had to take some shots.  It was beautiful.  Like little diamonds everywhere.  Oh and now I know my neighbors think I am the crazy neighbor lady with the camera running around in her pjs.

The local newspaper and one of the local camera stores are running their annual photo contest. Entrants may enter up to three color and/or black and white photos. (You may see the rules at www.jsonline.com/snapshots.) Here are some that I am considering to submit. I wanted to show you both color and black & white of each, but for some reason, the B&W photos didn't upload even though it said they did. Anyone have a guess as to why?

So, here they are. You'll have to use your imagination for the B&Ws. Please vote for three and say whether you prefer the color you see or the B&W you imagine.Popup LinkFrost on crab apples clr Popup LinkLadder pipe clrPopup LinkPort Washington 20 clr Popup LinkPort Washington 21 clr Popup LinkPort Washington 22 clr Popup LinkSteam tree clr Popup LinkPort Washington 23 clr

All of the Port Washington photos were taken in December after some very cold and windy conditions. As you can see, the breakwater and all the vegetation were covered with ice.
