Fall Farmer's Market

By OldManDan written 10/7/06 8:43 PM, published 10/7/06 8:43 PM
On Saturday morning, my wife usually goes to the Farmer's Market that we have here in downtown Lafayette.  Sometimes I go along, not to actully buy stuff, but to take a few photos.

After our market visit we walked around town to appreciate the  beautiful fall day,     ... but that might be another post for another day.

I visited our local Farmer's Market this weekend. It is a great place for some Macro photography.  Some of the displays the farmers come up with are very artistic. Popup LinkSquash Display Popup LinkOnions in a Basket

There are an amazing range of colors and textures also. Popup LinkPeaches in a Basket Popup LinkBerry Basket Popup LinkRed and White Potatoes

So, if you desire a interesting and productive photo session,I would recommend a trip to your local Farmers' Market. Popup LinkMore Berries It will provide ample opportunity to hone your Macro photography skills and techniques.Popup LinkOnions in B&W

I have been away for a while, I have been building a new studio on the back of the house and have spent the last 3 months building (learning to build). Today was my 75% almost done mark. I found some interesting shadows and items on the job site.

Hi...I'm back.  It's been three months since I last posted.  If you like me and my work, Sorry about the long time.  If you don't like me, your welcome about the long time.
Anyways, a couple weeks ago, I went to Popup LinkTrax Farms Market, an old store that has grown incredibly from a roadside store to comercial heaven in the past decade.  Anyways, they sell good Popup Linkapples for good prices, along with many other fruits and vegetables.  They also have hundreds of thousands of home-grown Popup Linkpumpkins that you can choose from, which the kids Popup Linklike to climb over.
Also, I want to know what people think about the picture entitled "Pumpkins" because I personally thought that it was pretty good.  However, if you don't, please say so.

Take care and happy clicking,

I had to take control of my addiction here (Photographica)and place my daughters wedding as priority. It was soooo hard to do but now I am able to post and discuss and comment again! Phew! Back to real life! No one even asked where I was, boohoo.
Well I dug these up just to reignite! No wedding photos, left that to a Pro. Phew, you say! I still have to get on the ball for the current theme.
