Hope you all enjoy the Pics. ;)

Garden walk

By MRQUACKERS written 6/8/08 6:05 AM, published 6/8/08 6:06 AM

During a break from these rains, I took a walk in the garden.  Not my garden, but a local garden.  This year they went to the ocean.  They have fish swimming in the flower beds, a closer detail, and are currently making a whale.  I'll be posting more once they complete everything, and the plants grow up around them.

On a side trip around the garden, I came across this cat, though the wife said it was a bunny.  She might be right, sometimes I see more of a bunny.

night glow

By momof3pics written 5/30/08 8:06 PM, published 5/30/08 8:07 PM

Just went out to learn more about using my exposure time and aputure settings.

I have new garden lights that make a nice glow in my front garden. I decided to take some photos.

Let me know how they are. Would like to learn more on how to do night shots. This is a Nikon D40 camera, some limitations at what i can do with it.  Tri pod used also.;)

Out and About With My Pal

By Otter written 9/4/06 7:08 PM, published 9/4/06 7:08 PM
Nothing to do on Sunday, and it was a beautiful day in Chicagoland... I got my Pal (The Rebel) and my driver (The Spouse) and went to find a garden that I had seen at lunch time on Friday.

God Is Still Speaking...

By gayscguy written 4/30/06 4:06 PM, published 4/30/06 4:06 PM
My church (Garden of Grace United Church of Christ, www.gogucc.com) recently joined the United Church of Christ (UCC - www.ucc.org), and while attending the Southeast Conference this past weekend, I did some picture taking...

My entry for the bi-weekly challenge for Strangers is (ALAS!) too late, but I liked this picture so much I thought I'd share it anyway.  Popup LinkThe Beautiful Stranger  I believe it also fits the Emotion challenge this week.

Also, Niki in the Garden, the world's largest exhibition of internationally renowned artist Niki de Saint Phalle's outdoor sculptures ever presented, at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, was a great source for intersting subjects.  Here is one example:  Popup LinkWaterplay

Haven't posted in a while, thought today was a good day!

More Spartan Stuff

By Buccaneer Bruce written 4/19/06 9:24 PM, published 4/19/06 9:24 PM
I got out of work late today, and the sun was setting so I decided to go across the street to MSU again to take a few shots.

I was about 1/2 mile away from the Popup LinkGreenhouses at the Horticultural Gardens.  I actually took this photo last year.  I wanted to recreate it tonight, but there was large truck of mulch in front of the entrance.

The sun was most of the way down when I got to the gardens tonight, so I played around with some of the settings on my new D70s.  This Popup LinkLamp along the garden path looked kind of interesting.  There aren't many flowers out yet, but the Popup LinkGardens are beautiful when they are.  On the way off campus, I stopped to snap a picture of Popup LinkSparty.  Hopefully I'll have time to do something different tomorrow.

My Debut Post!

By diamante01 written 2/17/06 8:56 PM, published 2/17/06 8:56 PM
I have been visiting Photographica for the past several weeks and must say that I have enjoyed looking at everyone's photos.  And now it is time for me to join in the fun!  My debut submission is of a quaint little Popup LinkGarden I found in the alleyways of Old Montreal.  This garden was located among a group of open-air shops, and was truly a treasure to find on a beautiful summer day in the old city.

Before and After

By cathelle written 12/7/05 8:07 PM, published 12/7/05 8:07 PM
It's been a while but I suppose it's better than nothing. And it appears that I am here just in time to add my entry for Popup Linkbefore and Popup Linkafter.

But while I am here I should also show what I've been up to. I visited my favorite place, the botanical Popup Linkgardens near my house. Although not everything is in Popup Linkbloom there are still many Popup Linkthings to look at. And if you are feeling up to it you can trek back to the Popup LinkJapanese Popup LinkTea  Popup LinkHouse. The trail will take you over this Popup Linkbridge

Jellybean revealed!

By jellybean written 10/21/05 6:14 AM, published 10/21/05 6:14 AM
Hi! My name is Popup LinkDena aka Jellybean.  I just celebrated my one month anniversary with posting on this site and enjoy every minute of it.

Hmmm....what to tell....I live just outside of  Popup LinkWashington DC.  I am lucky enough to be able to visit my favorite  Popup Linkmuseums on the weekends.

My favorite time of year is   Popup Linkfall.  I love watching the Popup Linkstorms that roll through during this weather.  It also makes the local  Popup Linkwaterfalls run.  I love the sound of running water.

I really enjoy  Popup Linkgardening   and arts and crafts. It helps me when my 6 yr old or 2 yr old have driven me up the wall by either coloring the ottoman (yes, with markers) or wanting me to feed them every 5 seconds.  Growing boys are like locusts!

Anyway, hope you enjoyed a peek at my life.  Let me hear from ya....

Back Yard

By dmorris written 9/13/05 8:09 AM, published 9/13/05 8:09 AM

Since I couldn't do anything else yesterday, I went out into the back yard and found a couple of interesting shots (and made one).

This Popup Linkbug decided to pop out of its skin on a lily leaf.

Then it was Popup Linklunch time for this one.

I found a piece of driftwood at the beach and arranged a Popup Linkpurple flower on it.

I hope you like the shots.

David
