We went to one of the local Mexican Restaurants tonight to hear an authentic Mariachi Band.  We'd heard them before, but I didn't have my camera that time.  Although I can't understand the songs, I love to listen to them; if it's got a beat, I'm moving to it.....

This band features a co-worker of mine here at St Paul Travelers Insurance Company. They played at the Mohegan Sun Casino. They were one of 8 bands from the state that were accepted into a battle of the bands event. There are four 2 band battles and the 4 winners then battle again and so on. These guys won the first round Wednesday and will play again in August.

SO... I got a gig as videographer the other day for an AXE Deo-Cologne promo. These 5 lucky guys won dream dates, a shopping spree, and dinning and dates with 5 very beeeeeyooootifoool ladies(gad i wish i won too!!!) Hahaha! Just kidding. Im a winner in my mind anyhows. Uhm.. here are the photos.(Sorry to be late in posting, for the people expecting me to do so. i.e. Paula and Rashel). The last set was more or less abstract. These would be in the category of "Mom, Dad's acting wierd in the back yard!" Anyway, I had fun. here are some shots from the Aimee Mann gig in Portland last week. i was shooting with the (relatively) new Fuji NPZ 800. the NPZ 800 feels better than the old Press 800, but don't believe the "grain-like-400" hype.
