I went TDY to Hawaii in April of this year.  Sometimes I get to go cool places in this job.  This is actually my third TDY to Hawaii which some people might be tempted to say I'm spoiled.  But believe me when I say it is more work than play.  These are the photos I took with my 35mm SLR.  I will be posting some of the ones I took with my digital SLR soon.  The blue waters of Waikiki  Waikiki April 2008-1   Waikiki April 2008-8    Waves and barriers  Waikiki April 2008-2  Waikiki April 2008-3  Waikiki April 2008-4   Calm before the storm and dusk  Waikiki April 2008-6  The flora and water  Waikiki April 2008-7  Waikiki April 2008-5

It seems like I haven't posted here in ages. I have been working so much that I haven't had much time to photograph anything. I was able to take some time off recently to scout out the Big Island. I happened to be there when Tropical Depression Kenneth was passing through, which made it difficult to get many non rainy photographs.

Sadly, at the memorial, most people just take pictures of the sunken ship itself, and they never seem to Popup Linklook up and notice the somber, yet strong, Popup Linkarchitecture. It's too bad; most people don't really think of what it is, which is a tomb.
