One of the demonstrations at the open house this year was extinguishing a car fire. The car was filled with wood pallets and the street was flooded with foam prior the the ignition. The pallets were ignited and allowed to build to a rather good fire before the firefighters moved in to fight the fire.

I was shooting from behind the crowd while holding my camera at arms length above my head. I think I aimed it fairly well.

The Cliff House is in San Francisco above the Sutro baths. The Cliff House a little later after sunset. The lights from the building light up Seal Rocks. The moon  coming into light before the marine layer came in and blocked it out.

The last is a composite to lighten the foreground. SealRocks HDR  will have to do until the next time that I can try again.

OK, so i decided to write a story and see if i could get some feedback on my pictures. These pictures are from a project i did on my son and his father. On June 1 I took my school children to the Tiffany House for our annual tour.  I didn't take as many pictures as last year, but took a few  showing some of the entertainment pieces. Here they are:

Meanwhile back to the old house that Needs Paint. Actually I think it needs a little more than paint.

With the roof the way it is I'm afraid that it's days are numbered. A few days of heavy, wet snow will probably do it in. I take the drive out to check on it almost every time I go over there. Maybe we can get another winter out of it.

I'd like to get some shots of it with snow on the ground but even with my 4wd I don't know if I could get out of the hole it sits down in. Not really into spending the winter out there.

and SG's gotta do what SG's gotta do..  but first... and totally out of my league....  you only have a short time to see me... and then I am gone ...  what am I....

Oreo is a 1 year old Boston Terrier and Baby is a 1 1/2 year old Schnoodle.  They own the house and we live our lives around them.

This is a Cave that was turned into a spring house. The house set not far away. It was used to keep milk and other stuff cool. Spring house Cave

I have a fancy kitchen, a pretty dining room lamp, and a fantastic oasis.
Also, a new vacuum and chair.

We got to visit the original farm house my husband grew up in... many moons ago.. just like it was original barn The current owners grow lilies to sell and experiment with hybrids...dark lily Variety of lilies

We went to see some butterflies. It was early in the season for them, but I had a lot of fun figuring out how to take their pictures!

On my property there is a little house outback.Little House . Its not what you think though. It is a pump house over my well. At the right o f the picture is a little red pot with blooming Nasturtiums (not easy to spell).Nasturtiums . At the center is a blooming RododendronRododendron. Behind the house is blooming Scotch Broom, a noctous but beautiful weed.Scotch Broom .
Often folks mistake my little pump house for the one they remember at their Grandma's place. This one, however doesn't have a crescent cut in the door or a plank bench inside with holes cut out to sit on.:-)
