Houston Ship Channel

The Ship Channel is really Buffalo Bayou, widened and dredged to allow large ship access.  Houston is one of the world's major ports even though it is some 40 miles from the coast.

The guys at the Art Car Museum recommended Scrap Daddy's.  They also recommended the house made of beer cans, but we didn't get there. . . next trip?

Something to Cheer me up

What a crummy day yesterday was. (Oddly enough it seems as though it has been longer ago than that.) I was fired only a half hour into the day. The reasons were obviously made up. Although we have since figured out the financial motivation behind such sadly.  Still it's not a very nice Christmas present, and I am at a bit of a loss as I find myself faced with a job search at such a crucial time.  It was a good thing, though, that I was home, the Houston skies opened up yesterday and our backyard began to flood, which in turn can cause our house to flood.  I spent hours replacing towels along the back walls of the house trying to contain the water. (Though exhausting at the time, we are ok now.) But despite it all, my spirits did not hit rock bottom. I received a very Popup Linkwonderful Popup Linkdeliveryfrom my husband during the downpour that lifted my  Popup Linkspirits. If only for a little while I stopped the panic of the many situations and literally stopped to Popup Linksmell the Popup Linkroses.

Blue Wave

The man waving at me was telling me that I can't take a picture there, of course it was too late, the shutter already went off.

Ok, sorry for the non-post last time. But this is the "non" picture that got everyone writing about needing a help file... I hope this works. I think it didn't work last time because I had a comma in the key word. (Cory, "key word" is a bit misleading, because I'm used of keywords being used for future searches and I wanted to use multiple words separated by comma - my 2 cents.) Popup Linkbluewave
