A Nikon caught a Canon shooting a baby!

Well howdy folks, on a recent outing with my sister Snowflake, we came across an ice formation on a local creek. We still have a ways to go but spring is in the air. Hopefully Snowflake and I can get out together a little more often.

Last year, my husband and I went on a snowshoe hike in search of a frozen waterfall!  We tried the weekend before, but somehow we made a wrong turn..  Knowing how tough the trail was the first time. I really... didn't want to go again so soon.  But boy was it worth it.... We did go to breakfast first.. here.Old Mill Inn Next to the inn is a pond. Pond The Inn leaves a big barrel of food around to feed the ducks. Mr. Duck

Next it was on to the hike...  Just as we started our hike this is what we came across....waterfall  Then it just kept getting better!!!!..Along the way  ..Looking through the waterfall...  ...Taking it all in .  It was well worth the long hard hike in!!!!

Took a trip up to the winter wonderlandof Michigan Tech Universityfor their annual Winter Carnival. Its amazing what they do each year. I woke up early one morning and took a drive in the  frozen sunrise over Keewenaw Bay. Later that day we went up the peninsula and found some deer  Grazing. Have you ever seen a deer  nuzzle?

I walked along the river again today...here is what I photographed...I really like how the water reflects the blue sky and how the sun highlights the sand...Gold Cracks. This shot was really neat...I was sitting on the rocks when I noticed this small pice of ice had a hole throught it. the light was perfect for this shot.Hole in Ice. This is the same pice of ice that has the hole in it...Hole in Ice. This shot is my favorite...I was under the bridge and noticed how the light was being reflected of the water and the ice....I wanted it black behind the ice to make the color stand out... Blue Black Ice. It was a grand day to get out and shoot photos.

After a week of almost balmy weather here in S.E. Wisconsin (mid 30s to low 40s), normal temperatures have returned. I slipped off to Lake Michigan on Sunday when it was in the low 20s and very windy. I came back with these images.

....I went to the top of the Smoky Mountains one day.  It was terribly foggy on the way up.  I thought my Mom was gonna have a fit 'cause I stopped so many times.....in the middle of the road.....to take pics!  We saw a flock of  turkies walking along the side of the road; that was a little strange.  My daughter wanted to stick her feet in the water, but changed her mind quickly!  There were  patches of ice all along the mountainside.  I even took a couple of pics for Beholden; here ya go, Be!  I hope you like them.  Driving back to my daughter's, I saw this patch of  berries peeking through the trees; it was good to see color after spending the day in the fog!  Hope y'all enjoy!

Christmas here was fun even for the little one and Mom had to much Fun New Years was outstanding for me more New Years Kiss's the you could hope for !!

And I got up this Morning with pounding head lol and it iced up over night!! Woo Hooo ! I have been waiting all winter for some ice so I could get some photos !! And I got it on New Years !! So hope you all enjoy them the ice is one of the things I love about NE Montana! I think 9 and 10 are the best !

these are a year old the end of jan.,but i have to share them with you
cause they're so unique.just south of berlin is this twenty acre woods with a deep ravine. i can always find something interisting to shoot there.

many of us have seen frost flakes forming like it is snowing, but on a crystal clear  cold nite, even sometimes it happens during daylite, no clouds yet it seems to be snowing.these were taken under clear skies at about 15 degrees below zero, and not even a breath of wind at 8:40 am. the sun has been up for a little more than a few minutes. something was coming out of the ground for the frost to form on just at that one spot. nature lovers, i give youfra,frb, frc, frd.

My weekend in Ashtabula takes me past the lakeshoe. Ice still is floating in the Lake. My niece requested train pic's.  I almost got killed by a train and the police stopped and asked if I were okay as I waited for one to pass I got these shots Walking to the tracks I passed tractors At the farm, I spotted this Birch tree And a weed Pussy Willow and dang it my fence didn't upload. It was just a grape vine, but I thought it to resemble a fence,catch you later.
