An interview with photographer Noah Grey

By coryking written 6/7/06 9:28 PM, published 6/7/06 9:28 PM
Ladies and Gentleman, I am pleased to post Noah Grey's answers to the questions you asked in our announcement last week.

Self described as "31, Dublin, photographer, writer, musician, programmer, gay, survivor, oddball, and mostly harmless," Mr. Noah Grey was one of the first members of Photographica. His touching stories and excellent photography played a significant role in shaping the future of this website. Without Noah, this website would have taken a very different course.

Thank you all for asking these brilliant questions; and thank you Noah for agreeing to this interview. And now... on to the interview...

Like our last interview, you ask the questions. Noah has an excellent website complete with a biography, portfolio, and daily photoblog; don't forget about his new book California.

So, post your questions in the comments below. Sometime mid next week Noah will look them over and answer them.

Last week we asked Photographica to come up with some questions for Troy Paiva of Lost America. For those that do not know Troy, I recommend you read his wonderfully written back story and learn about his technique as well.

Read on for his answers to your questions...

Lost America: Call for questions

Photographer Troy Paiva of Lost America has agreed to be interviewed by us.  Troy is an accomplished night photographer who has been taking pictures of the desert at night since around 1989.  He has published a book Lost America which is full of his wonderful photography.  He has recently switched from film to digital for his work at night.

So, I ask all of you to take a look at his website and think of some questions you would like to ask.  The editors and I will pick the best ones that are not answered in his back story (which is a great read) or technique page and send them off to Troy for a response.

I'll send these questions to him on Monday, November 21'st.
