On Friday our entire family went to Anna's kindergarten class to help them celebrate Chinese New Year.  First the kids had a snack of tangerines, which are supposed to bring good luck and money.  We read a book that told the kids about Chinese New Year.  Then, each child made a paper lantern. Anna wore a new Chinese outfit. The lanterns turned out nice.  Afterward the kids from Anna's class were showing off their lanterns to the kids from other classes.

On another note, Priscilla and I had a getaway evening at the Nicollet Island Inn last night.  I shot this picture out the window on the third floor landing.
