Hear The Music Evening Light
Bonus: Chevy from a carshow last weekend.
Just a bunch of stuff off my hard drive...;0)Note: I know there were no pictures of toy cameras, the images are process to resemble an image from an old toy camera.
Decided to go out and try long exposure last night about 11:30. I know it isn't the greatest ones of all time but I think it's kinda cool. It's really hard getting a good angle in a (flat)town to pull somethig like this off. I ended up on the 4th story of a parking garage extending only one leg of my tripod so the other portion(legs) hung over enough to take the shot. Ended up getting ran off by some rentacop-looking-cityofficial cop. Saying "We can't have people up here." Here I am on a saturday night having some good wholesome fun and I get busted by the cops. It just happened to be the Parking garage for the DMV. I'm thinking to myself hey I practially own this garage I pay my taxes. Anyways...Oh yea this might fit into the theme, the lights on the cars are "traces in time".
Have been gone for a long weekend and when I got on site this morning, amased at the activity the past few days..my sister will "get on to me" if I don't post the pics relating to the scavenger hunt...so here they are (all simple shots)
Our family is having a photo scavenger shoot with the "showing" scheduled for April 15, a good way to end the tax season.
Hope you have a good day!
The first day's shoot was in downtown Santa Fe. The assignment was shadows and light.

The second day's shoot was at Ghost Ranch. A group of us hiked up toward Chimney Rock. The assignment was Near/Far Perspective.

The third day's shoot was at Eaves Movie Ranch outside Santa Fe. There was no specific assignment for this day, but it was suggested that we could work on portraits given that there were models there.

Hope you enjoy these. If you ever want to know more about the course shoot me a PM. I highly recommend it.
From time to time, I'll aim my camera at the traffic as I drive at night -- just goofing around, not thinking much of it. And then, lo and behold, there's a whole article on the technique in this month's Popular Photography. Who knew?
If you do this yourself, don't do it like I did -- Get a designated driver!
I was sitting at a stoplight when I saw these cool lights along the side of a nearby restaurant. I was intrigued, and had to look

Photographica is an interesting website. There is a very diverse cast of characters. Some like Photographica has allowed me to see through the eyes of others. I've seen both

bad doors,
windows,

pets,
landscapes,
campfires,
PS creations,

wildlife,
sports,
portraits and
shadows plus many many more than I can describe.
HOWEVER, working with light is still my favorite:
