To See...

By Lidljo written 6/18/08 9:11 AM, published 6/18/08 9:12 AM

As you know, I love to look at small things in my environment, and also watch the flowers in my garden.  I am working on making some more posters of some of the shots.  The weather here has been cool and today it is quite gray, so I am working inside.  Hope everyone is having a good day.

Fruits of fall

By cmarie written 8/31/06 9:00 AM, published 8/31/06 9:00 AM

Here are some pictures of fruit from my yard. First, a branch broke off the apple tree, so we had to pick all the apples from that branch.Popup LinkYummy green apples They are sweet even though they are green, we have picking them all along. Here is a picture of the same apples, with a few missing, in a softer light.Popup LinkApples again
I also have these plum trees, and the fruit is starting to get ripe.Popup Linkplums but we keep picking them and sucking the fruit and juice out of them, they are so good! I love the way they look hanging with the sunshine behind them. Lastly, here is a picture from summer of a lily. If you look hard you may see hail stones on the ground. That was the day a hail storm hit our town, dropping golf ball to baseball sized hail, State Farm put a disaster relief tent in town, as 90 percent of the cars were damaged. The hail looks small in the picture, but I had to wait until it was over to go out, and it had rained too.Popup LinkLily I am glad the site is back up, I missed it while it was gone!

First Posting

I have always been an avid photography. Ever since I purchased my first camera in Vietnam in 1968. I now own a Canon EOS Digital Rebel (not the XT). I am posting these pictures as my first post. Let me know if I screwed it up or not.

My wife planted these lilies a number of years ago. We now have tons of them in our yard.

This picture was taken in 2003 with my first digital cameral, a 1.3 mpix Casio. It is my granddaughter who was 3 years old at the time. This shows how big the lilies are.

Well, this is my first picture on this site. I was testing my digital camera macro function, so I decided to take a shot of these Popup Linkflowers.

White Lily

By phobol written 1/27/04 1:24 PM, published 1/27/04 1:24 PM

So, I walk into my kitchen and see that there's a lily in my sink, with one light above it. Went back to my room, grabbed the camera, and took this shot...

Continuing The Cliche Theme

Popup LinkCasablanca Lily In homage to "boy"'s (who's talent I greatly admire) posting earlier today, here's Lily cliche, a Casablanca Lily from my garden. For non-gardener's, this is a massive white bloom with exquisite fragrance, a sensual delight to behold.
