The heat has been oppressive, 104 in the shade with a heat index even higher.  So I was really surprised to open the door to let the dogs out this morning only to find this Doe standing there looking back at me!  The dogs just had to cross their legs and wait while I went for the camera!

The only thing that even LOOKS cool around here is the Early Morning Mist on Bull Shoals.  Have a great weekend everybody!  

Tonight we drove downtown with friends to walk along the Mississippi.  The new Guthrie Theatre is going in there.  We love to take in live theatre at the Guthrie. The theatre is in the historic mill district. This old burned out mill is actually a museum called the Mill City Museum.  If you're ever in Minneapolis I highly recommend taking it in.

Sunday we went for a drive to an area south of us - Saugatuck and Douglas, Michigan.  This is known as an artist community - there are several galleries and lots of little consignment shops.  Pederson Mill is a tourist stop.  We had never stopped so even though the mill was closed I had Wim stop so I could take some pictures.
