The members of my band! We never came to a consensus on what the name should be. But I have two members who want it to be The Perfect Aperture (it's an inside joke... bottom line: This summer they overheard a basic student talking about how she had found "The Perfect Aperture" the following weekend and was just so excited about it). But it's still to be debating among the other two members. But for now, I'll just introduce you to all of them.
As our front woman on vocals JENNA!
Fighting with Jenna every step of the way is HEATHER on lead guitar
Our bassist who just doesn't care, CLAIRE!
And finally, our drummer who's here to rock... HANNAH!
Together, they are The Perfect Aperture/Eggleston and His Color Positives/Jenna Flash and the Speed Lights/Some other band name we've discussed yet never came to a decision on!
I apologise for so many, but I really do appreciate it if you take the time to look. I took 80, edited 60 and then narrowed it down to 20 to show to class. Now I have to narrow it down to 1 or 2 for my portfolio.... this is tough!
We had fun and I hope it shows through the shots. A couple more to come tomorrow (I promise not as many at once) and then I'll finish up the shots on monday.
Any feedback on favorite shots is welcome. I need all the help I can get narrowing it down!
Okay, now that I have your attention....These are semi-NSFW. Your boss may not like them, but it's okay if the kids see them.
I needed some practice with my flash in low light conditions, so how could I pass this one up?!?
These were all taken with a Nikon D50 and SB-600 flash. ISO 400, f/5.6'ish, which put exposure around 1/45-1/90 --- not the greatest with a telephoto.
I'm thinking of going to another one and trying ISO 800 and maybe a few 1600, although sometimes the grain is a bit much.
(Hmmm, did any of them read all of that??)
These are all runway shots, and I had a bunch of drunk rednecks all around me, so it was hit-or-miss. All in all, I had better success than expected though. About a third of the shots came out pretty good.

Thank you so much for the advice. Although I could not get the cropping the way I wanted once I followed the advice. Maybe I'm just tired or giving up too easily this evening. I do have more photos from yesterday however, and I would appreciate your feedback so I can decide which are worthy to actually put in my portfolio.
Helllllooooo Photographica!
Damn! It feels good to be back posting here! Looks like this place has evolved a lot and a gajillion pictures, members, assignment have gone by without me knowing all about it. I've just been buried in work lately and haven't even had the chance to take the time to upload new photos here, much less write up a post. So anyways, here are some new pictures from the bag... some sunsets:

I'm also in the process of putting up some kinda photo folio for myself at the moment. I shot me some beauty shots with some model friends last week. I shot and lit this stuff. Please do let me know what you think of em. Thanks. :)

These shots were from a class assignment a couple weeks ago. This time I got to be a model. It was alot of fun and although I was so busy being a model I did not get to shoot any, I still wanted to share them with ya.
