One of the "problems" I found on our road trip earlier this year was light.  Since we were, in fact, trying to get somewhere it was rare that I had good light for any of my pictures.  The only two places I was able to get good light was Death Valley & Redwood National Park, both of which we spend the night at.

Getting the lighting right at the ocean was hard.  I had to position Shannon in such a fasion that the light was comming at her perpendicular to the ocean AND get the ocean in the background!  There was only a few bluffs where I could do that.

This pic was taken in the early days of digital..you know, 640 by 480..and on a floppy disk sony at that. So none of the pics were of great quality..so forgive me the use of PS on this shot, but I love the happness in my Tomi Rose's face ..in her Daddy's arms. My Girl

  Went down the hill to chico for a tag along with the wife just so I could click a few.
Had to eat , so were should we go?...this way , yea thats were I can get a triple thick shake..shake. Should I get a t-shirtmenu..no ! I'll just take a picture.
  While waiting for the food, I noticed 3 guy who wanted to come in, so I took a pic of the boys..The Boys .they couldn't come in, they didn't have shoes on...too bad!
  By now my daughter is thinking ..when can we go somewhere without Dad taking his camera...never
  Next we go to Wal-Mart...so I ditch the girls and look for crap to shoot...and I'm in luck, because Wal-Mart has a lot of crap..so heres some color..color 1... color 2... color 3
  Opps, their looking for me ..I'll hide behind these.. hide 1. I've got to click a few more..oh boy..look.. oh boy . No can't stay here, got to go...Where should I hide...maybe here..hide 2. No, now everyone is looking at me..got to move. Oh no, she's checking out.. check out. If I hide behind here.. hide 3 for awhile, I might get a few more shots in.
  Look over there, the garden department..flowers cool, got to be quick..flower 1.. flower 2.. flower 3. Got to go, but I have to say goodbye to an old friend first.. Friend.
  I guess my fun is over, no more stuff to shoot..no wait a second...is it yes it is.. Yes..a slug.. ouch..bug.....OUCH!
  It was a long story, and the pictures weren't art....but I'm sick, I told you...now you are too... ...of me.

 I wasn't going to shot today but my daughter was eager to get one in so I'm barrowing a style of shot that I thought she'd like..using a frame ..so to the person ..I forget who..it doesn't compare but it was for us to do togetherframed tomi This is a last year pic..taken with a 2.o dimage..so it's not the clearest but it's the emotion..my sister hugging Tomi after her water baptism.baptism. Now one of my daughter prasing with headset on in the dark. inner light the next two are just filler..this one was at work in the kitchen, with the boys having fun ..but after looking at it I just had to put them into a different background, do to the look on Jame's face. scardie cat .And the last one is another just for fun.anti christ

The San Juan Islands are located 60 miles north of Seattle, and south west of Bellingham. To get to any of the main islands - Lopez, Shaw, Orcas or San Juan Island - you need to take a ferry. It can take up to 2 hours to get where you are going (not including at least an hour wait in line). While in line, you can climb a tree. Once on the boat, you can sit back and enjoy the view or read trashy magazines.

The ferry starts from Anacortes, which itself is an island. You can get a very good view of Mt. Baker.
