Nature Wild...Working With Nature

Yesterday I Drove Down To Cape May, NJ To Help And Work With The NJ Audubon's Spring Shore Bird Migration Count. These Birds Have Just Arrived From South America Where They Spend The Winter Months. Cape May Is A Major Stop Over And Resting Place For These Birds. They Will Spend A Few Weeks Here Feeding And Resting Before Continuing On To Their Summer Breeding Grounds In The Arctic. These Birds Will Return To Cape May In Late Summer To Feed And Rest Once Again Before Flying Down To South America To Winter. It Was An Awesome Day Working With These Amazing Birds....NATURE RULES!!!

In Praise of Blue

Obviously, blue was abundant at the Boatyard , where a Sailboat or a Fishing Boat fit the bill.
I found a Rivulet of blue in the midst of the mud flats, a bit of blue decorating this year's Sage,
And, of course, I found my thrill on Blueberry Hill
A break for the day

I'm taking a break from the zoo today. But I promise you lots of exciting and beautiful big cats next week. But for today, I'll tide you over with some flower shots (hopefully they're not boring).
Thanks for looking and all comments are appreciated. Have a great weekend everyone!

Every Time I See An Eagle In The Wild, My Heart Beats Faster And My Eyes Open Wide. I'm Just Like A Kid Full Of Excitement On Christmas Day. The Sun Was Getting Low And And I Was Fighting The Light. Old Reused
In Brown County we saw many old things used in new ways or some just taken over by nature. My Dad's heart rate is slowly coming back up and he is getting ornery so I think we will have him home soon. They got him up today and had him walking a bit with his walker.
Weekend
I was working on lesson plans at school this morning and my husband called to say that my Dad was being taken to the hospital by ambulance - so I dropped everything and went. He is 90 years old so is a "person of a day" - we know that he can go at any time. It was his heart, and the rate was too low - well tonight he is stable and in the hospital being watched. They think that his body was no long tolerating his blood pressure medication. It was surprising how fast five brothers and sisters can get to the hospital in an emergency - two were there before the ambulance. I did have time to have a couple of nice talks with Dad, and he assured me that if his time came he is ready to go.Some more pictures from Indiana:
