Roll 1 my first Autofocus SLR<revised>

By maglass written 6/30/06 5:59 PM, published 6/30/06 5:59 PM
So I just recently bought a Canon Rebel G SLR it came with all the bells and whistles, tiffen filters, telephoto lense,   a 28-80mm Aspherical lense, and a remote switch. I am so excited to have it, probably because I am really starting to fall into this passion of photographs.
Well This is some of my better shots from roll 1. You have to keep in mind i've been taking photos with this SLR camera for not even a week yet too, yet please be critical on my photos and help me grow in the field of photography.
These photos below are some I took of  downtown Tupelo, MS my small town were i  currently reside. Please feel free to mention anything that would help me improve those shots. They were the best I thought off this roll and perhaps beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Last night

Last night I had the bug.  I had to go out and shoot. . nothing in particular, I just needed a fix.  So I ended up downtown (SD) in one of my favorite spots
Popup LinkCool Night I haven't had time to play with it or crop but, it did cure my fix for some shooting and fresh air.

Here is one I took last year about the same time in January from CoronadoPopup LinkCoronado view.  I'm really having a hard time getting a work flow going and getting the right pictures, in the right size and KEYWORD, coordinated!  I guess practice makes perfect.

Popup LinkSam-n-Sara Just wonderful critters I thought I'd share......... until next time, stay dry.

Hello everyone, been along time for me. I used to be kevinkbg on here last summer. Life got busy and photo's took a back seat for awhile. Here is one just to test out the new and improved site. I like the changes by the way, and all the new people putting up great pictures. Happy new year!Popup Linkphoto (that was really cool..... the insert button)

Have you ever went on a photo expedition on a one-lane-one-way road with no place to pull off and you have a LINE of cars behind you waiting to move forward?  Well, JoJames and I experienced that last night.  It was quite comical, especially every time I'd get out of the car to take more pics instead of taking them from inside the car.  I know those people had to be saying some not-so-nice things about me!  We had a great time, took quite a few mostly crappy pics, but I want to share some of them with you anyway.  I know Moose said to go at dusk; that wasn't possible, as we had to fuel our bellies first and we couldn't do that until Jo got off work.  All of these are handheld, ISO at 1600.  Popup Link1 Popup Link2 Popup Link3 Popup Link4 Popup Link5 Popup Link6 Popup Link7 Popup Link8 Popup Link9 Popup Link10 As you can see, we saw quite an array of decorations.  Popup LinkJo was having entirely too much fun playing with Mike's el-cheapo camera.  That was ok, 'cause we were out to have fun.  She even had to get out of the car and pet the Popup Linkwildlife!  Yeah, there was a line of people behind us here, too!
All in all, it was a great way to spend quality time with a great friend!  We topped it off by listening to Drive Time by Shane Caldwell on the way home.....well, goo'ness, we all need laughter to keep the stress down....

Sorry this is so long; I hope y'all enjoyed the not-so-great pics.  It was a great time, though!

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM MY HOUSE TO YOURS!
