The Old & the New - warmed the color and partial desaturation

I really want to see how the new editor works and it's been a month since I've posted anything. Granted, I've taken lots of shots in the desert but none of them are ready to be put up here. And I've been viewing all these great flower shots and it made me think of ALL the flowers I've shot in the past couple of months (these shouldn't be in the challenge though.... That's meant to motivate you to go out and shoot NEW pictures). But there are a lot of new faces, so these will be new for a lot of you.
I think they're shining examples of flowers up close, but let me know what you think (Go on, burst my bubble!).
And to make this a little interesting, can you pick the two that were shot with my film camera?
Thinking about what to post for this challenge has been pretty interesting. First I was thinking of posting one of my pictures that show
What about those things that can withstand the passage of time? I could not think of a better example than the
Porta Coeli, a church in my old town that was built in 1906 and still stands in spite of attacks, hurracaines and earthquakes. Not so is the case with the small
Chapel where we used to listen to Mass when I was a child. It was a shock to me, when in my last visit a few weeks ago, i saw that even the cross is about to crumble.
I'm rather new here, so I'm slowly building up the gallery. I'm in a position where I'm really wanting to get as much exposure as possible. This site seems like it might be a decent way to do that. Well, for a while, I've done mostly purely through my account at deviantART, but as decent as it is, still not exactly what I want.Well, the following are some pics of my backlog:
Steak 'n' Shake has been a rather big part of my life for the last few years. It's a great place to spend several hours, working on just about anything, open 24 hours, so they'll always welcome you. Though I haven't been there so much during the last couple of years, it still holds a bit of importance to me. Here's a monoscopic shot I did with my Stereo Realist. Had some major problems with the camera that night, so this is one of the few shots that came out decent.
Hibernia is where I live. It's the only apartment complex I've ever seen with its own cemetery right in the middle of the complex. But that was because Carlisle Cemetery was closely connected to the old town of Hibernia, OH. Hibernia, though, is now folded in as part of Columbus. I have some slides of the cemetery. Maybe I'll post them someday once I get the slides scanned.
This was a fun shoot... had my roommate go up and start firing the flash at the building to illuminate it even more. The ones living there didn't really enjoy it, though. This is some of my digital photography.
The Hunting Master -- well, Jaegermeister isn't something I actually enjoy, but I love the bottles. Another Digital photo of mine.
I love infrared photography. I've only done digital so far, though. These shots of
Lake Hope and
Hope Furnace are from my first major experimentation with it and remains two of my favorite shots.
A couple of years ago, I did a basement cleanup fro a lady who had lost her husband and was moving to a retirement home. She told me that I could keep whatever I wanted.
Most of the stuff was junk that had been collected over the years. Later on, I came upon this
wallet , here's a pic of the
inside. Inside of this wallet were original copies of Driver licences from earlier on.
Here's some to see
1912 ,
1913,
1914 ,
1915,
1924 and
1938. I showed them to her and asked her if she wanted to keep them. She told me that she had lots of memories of Arthur and that if i wanted them to go ahead. She passed away about a year later.
I know that these are scanned images but since we were talkin about earlier times I thought this would be OK.
